Proper thanks goes out to one of the members of this forum for sacking up and coming out to a charity cut today.. And good help he was... Thanks concrete grazer for putting aside your normal duties and lending a helping hand!!!
I just find it refreshing a total stranger can let someone know there's something going on in their region, and they don't give it a second thought... They just show up and cut... Excellent... Of course, Mark may be sorry I know how to get ahold of him now... Cause there will be more!!!
Nice job guys, whatever this was for. I know there are still good peoplein the world, but this forum is filled with them. Cheers!
It seems like that kind of charity is common within this community. Nice to know the caliber of people I am communicating with. Great job doing what should be done.
Those "total strangers" don't stay that way long do they? The people here just have the do what it takes mentality. That imo is how this country got great. Nice work! A C
You guys continually prove what I've believed since I've come to know all of you.....that you are first class people, all the way..... Awesome.....
Awesome Hedgerow ! This is what makes you guys so great and why I love the people on here. Everybody's willing to help others out the way things should be done ! Good job fellas !
I think we need to figure out a way to keep both those big splitters fed continuously on the next outing.. When you got 2 splitters with 4 ways, log lifts and work tables, its harder than you would think...
Nothing to it, you cheat. When I've got that kind of splitting power available, I cut 3-6 cord ahead of time. That way they'll never catch you. A C
Top notch !!! Good on both of you.. Hedge and Concrete.. It's people like this that will make us one up the rest. Karma and paying it forward. Even to strangers. I know Concretegrazer has a nice arsenal of saws. His Sig says so
Steve and I got this little challenge going now... Who can come up with the best firewood forager... He's starting with an old Jeep, and I'm starting with a JD AMT w/dump bed.. Both will need good brakes... But it's a noble cause and a challenge... Next time I'm bringing one saw.... And 4 chains...
Wait till he attends Hedgefest... This next spring... He'll need a hot one... It's just the natural progression of CAD... Can't be helped...
+1, can't wait for the next one. Hope I am able to attend again. Didn't know the connection with Mark came from here. I assumed he knew the guys who run the charity. It was nice getting to know him in the brief moments we were not working. It IS a sickness isn't it? Looking forward to Hedgefest 2014. I will donate a weekend or 2 to help you get prepared.
