    Was outside last evening hauling the trash out after reloading the fireplace and the calm air/moonlight was just right and offered a neat pic of the house.....

    In a matter of 20 mins after a fresh load of 5yr seasoned oak splits, the smoke was gone...

    I MAY have snuck a piece of 3 month split cherry in the firebox too......because I love the smell of it.....lol

    Wow! I don't even get that much smoke from a start up of the wood furnace.... :hair:

    I threw 3 big splits of oak on a handful of coals, I let it go too long...lol

    I usually throw a handful of cedar or spruce on there for a restart when I let the coals go down that far.

    And every other store now too! The local ACE hardware had Christmas stuff out before Halloween! :eek:

    When I was scrolling down the page the first thing I thought when I seen just the top 1/3 of that first pic was "oh, steam engine" :rofl: :lol:

    I'm sayin 75% of that is steam anyways...especially with some green cherry being charred in that load...

    Wait! I know I haven’t been a member that long, but I did lurk a long time. Has it been that long already?? Wow!! I need to look and see how long I have been a member here.

    I’d like to see this place get more busy. I like it here. Good group of people.
