Riley went to the vet this morning. Stated on his Lyme disease prevention. Weight went from 49 lbs to 56 lbs. He was all skin and bones when we got him. I was told he was in the woods for a month. He behaved really well for the vet. He seems to be a very happy boy. He is very vigilant here. often lays by the glass door keeping an eye open for any activity. He loves to run on the driveway. Didn't need his nails trimmed. I'll try to get some new pictures. He is looking so much better now.

A couple of recent pics. I scrubbed the birds' cages last weekend. When I do that, the wire portion goes into the tub and I use the hand held shower to give the avians a shower. Forgot to get a shot of Ziva, but here is Birdie.

I brought in my frosty garden cat who is eating garden gnomes. I had it drying off on top of the cat pen. Rainey wasn't too sure about the new "cat". Wish I had gotten a picture of her fully on the towel sniffing and stretching her neck as far as she could before braving getting closer.

Spot, surprisingly ignored the new "cat". She is usually the first to investigate anything new, even even in a new place. However, she does explore everywhere and I found one of her warm spots the other day. I have a hanging wood crib on the basement ceiling and when the P61a is cycling, that area will be warm until the stove shuts off and she can lay on it. Here Spot is checking out what I'm doing . Sorry the pics are fuzzy but it is dark in that area and she doesn't really stay still.

Yes, she too has a Schnauzer beard! And bouffant on her head like Blondie (wirehaired Vizsla), just so darn cute :) Look up Giant Pointing Griffon and see if you see any similarities to Riley, except his coloring leads me other breeds. I remember he's a poodle mix, but who knows what he's crossed with.

Took Riley to the Vet today for the booster shot for Lyme disease. Tech came to the car and give him his shot. Didn't see a vet. $47 for a booster shot! Would have done better at one of the clinics at TSC. But, at TSC I would have to stand in line which is something I am not physically able to do. So all things considered, I did OK.

Awwwe, sitting there like a little gentleman :) I don't blame you for paying extra so you don't have to wait in line.

Sure does look alike. Esp. the eyes and deep v shaped chest. Also those long skinny legs. This dog is very alert. He has a high energy level and is very smart. I really enjoy having him with me. He knows how to ask for things like when to go out and when he wants something to eat. He is very gentle with the cats. The cats show no fear of him, no hissing or batting at him. I am considering a DNA test.

I'm so happy for you 3 and the kitties!!!! In your last picture his "stop" (the angle of his forehead compared to his muzzle) struck me as very similar to my GP Griffon, as well as the eyebrows. Does he happen to have extremely long eyelashes? ( the eyelashes actually on his top eyelid, not eye brows or bangs, mine has the longest ones I've ever seen and I've seen alot of dogs including Peaches Poodle).
