Good morning everyone! I got a lot of leaves bagged yesterday, before the rain. Today we'll rehang the LED gro-lights in the basement, for my houseplants. Some of the hardier plants are still outside. I think this is the latest I've ever let them go.
The neighbors put up Christmas lights yesterday. It's weird with green grass and temps in the high 50's, low 60's.
I'm not complaining. Oct. 30th, 2020:

Afternoon all. Surprise quick visit from our oldest daughter and son in law. They are going camping on the west coast for two nights. I hope they don't get rained out and stuck out there. Nice morning with sunshine. Rain showers this afternoon. Storm headed out way Sat. night through to Monday.
Chores to do today. I might be able to hit the sewing room this afternoon.

Good afternoon! I'm about to check out of work and start the weekend. Temps have been dropping throughout the day. Currently 40F and light rain. I need to stop by the church and set up tables for 2 events this weekend. Before that, I need to cover an IBC tote and cut a few rounds of maple out of the pile. I'm split them inside the barn over the weekend while the weather is nasty. My first face cord delivery of mixed hardwoods is scheduled for tomorrow. Then a little more time CSS. Have a God day!

 

Good eve all.. Lots of rain today but its dry in the shop working. I had a appointment for a truck inspection Thursday but the guy called and said he couldnt do it till Monday. No stickers.. Been needing to go shopping so I went last night after dark.... Looks like I may have a job after I finish this one.. Pretty glad of that. Hope you all are having a good night.

 

Good morning, everyone.

We got just under 2in of rain yesterday. More, later today.

Yesterday was also a landmark day for me, and family. We moved mom and dad into an assisted living facility. Dad has had a couple of hospital/rehab stays over the past few months. Finally diagnosed as congestive heart failure, which was causing other issues.

They had lived in the same house for the past 60yrs. We're hoping the change will result in greater social interaction. At least mom will hopefully be under less stress, where there's a support staff available onsite. We'll see.

We still have a few things to move into their studio "apartment" room.

It was a long process. Balls were dropped along the way. But, that part of life is now in the rear view mirror.

I just had my 1st visit of the day with my folks.

New beds are fine.

Breakfast(very important to dad) was fine. Coffee was hot enough. Oj was cold enough. Scrambled eggs, 2 slices of bacon, and raisin toast passed the test.

We're still moving a few things in, but the 1st night was a positive experience.

 

Good morning all. About 35 out and that will be the high for today. Getting scattered snow showers but not sticking.
Chaz has been working on getting more wood into the barn. Yard is finally looking much better.

Morning All. Overcast, dark and drizzle here. Our daughter and son in law are camping out this weekend. They seem to enjoy just camping through almost any kind of weather. For me, where's the RV?

Paul, in his letter to the Hebrews, reminds us of the important things in our walk with the Lord.
