Just under freezing here this morning. 30. After yesterday's rain, it dried up pretty nice and made for a nice morning walk!
SW Michigan..Rain/Snow 34F.....wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph...inside house 72F Ash/Elm
A mix of some spruce limbs (I keep a handful of dead ones for getting the stove warmed up in the shoulder seasons), oak and cherry splits this evening to get things going.
30 outside 72 inside with some EAB killed ash. I love this stuff Ill be sad when its all gone in a year or two.
Saw our first snow flakes this morning. What little of it that stuck, didn't stay stuck for long. Looking at hitting low 50's one day next week.
32F here with a little snow. Ground was white for a minute, much better than rain, but still warm enough that it's sloppy. Ash rounds in the boiler.
Woke up this morning, got ready for work. It was 25F. I could hear the wind outside in my house, not too unusual. But, as I step 1 foot onto my porch I thought, "Wow, way more windy than I expected." Got in my car and headed to work which almost 50 miles from my house. I got 2 miles outside my small town and it was nothing but white sheets of snow......sideways.... My next thought was, " No way, I'm waiting daylight. Right now, buring some pine and cottonwood
Ummm. That's no fun. All we had here in Ozaukee county was a few snow flakes, mixed in with rain. So nothing even thought about sticking. Sunday am we might have some snow that sticks. It got to like 42° today, but it's now 35°. Burning a combo of balsam fir, elm, box elder and ash. 77° in the stove room without the insert blower running.
Yes , just a good old fashioned Cold. Fairly sure it didn't come from Wuhan or any other laboratory. -12°F ambient an hour ago . Up to 10 under at the moment at the house. Winds are fairly calm. Supposed to warm up to 2 under by morning. A load of shed seasoned Aspen splits in the stove.
