I ordered this stove in August and they say it should be delivered in the middle of December. Just in time for the cold. Does anybody have one of these? If so, how do you like it. They told me their is a tax credit for buying one of these. Has anybody gone this?

Dokken? Are you kidding? I've never met another Dokken outside of my immediate family. Cool! We just had a Lopi Endeavor installed last month. Love it! We had a Quadrafire Explorer II before this and the Lopi is better in every way. You are going to love it! I haven't checked on the tax credit, I'll have to look into that.

Had a lopi liberty at the cabin up north, it was pre next fire or whatever the ignition stuff is called. It was just straight up no frills except the added blower fan on it.

It was a great stove, but dad had a jotul gas allagash stove put in so he could have instant heat from a remote control and no wood to load in.

Sadly, I think my Mom sold the lopi as I didn't see it in the pole shed. Grrr. Dad told me that lopi was mine...

I bought a lightly used Liberty. It’s a 1999 model but just one tenth of a gram from the 2020 model and is virtually the same stove aside from the obvious things you see out front of the stove...and I have it sitting in my garage unhooked...err...um...three bay work shop. I’m thinking about a “window” install “IF” I can make the install safe enough...and temporary enough. Just want to burn it a few times. I may out it on rollers and just roll it outside to burn it. Would be nice to heat my shop with it this year while I’m doing some organizing work out there. If I like it, I might try bringing it in the house.

I really wish I had the Endeavor model for two reasons.

    1. Smaller stove fits my needs better.
    2. Square fire box for feeding both ways with one wood size.

Both you guys keep me updated on how you like the stove, what you don’t like about it, how it runs and heats, burn times, etc. I’m curious as to how low a burn you can get and for how long. Not the lowest burn, well that too, but I’m more interested in a low burn that still keeps the glass clean.

My daughter's godmother has this model stove and we're going up to visit her for the day in a little while. I'll get some details about their experience with it when up there this afternoon.

What a coincidence! I used to think there were not many with this name but there are several.
I am looking forward to the stove. We are originally from Seattle and now live in North Carolina.

I used to get asked that all the time. My dad’s name was don and back in the 80s before we know anything about the band people would call and ask if he as the Don from the band.

Now I only get asked by people older than 50

for those wondering Dokken was a heavy metal band back in the 80s

Lol. I am 46 and probably one of the younger people that liked that band. That is unless Dokken is a band that the teenagers latch onto like they have with so many other bands that were popular before they were even born.

Dokken even did a song for one of the "nightmare on elm street" movies. Complete with video with Freddy Krueger.

Yes, it is the Lopi Endeavor.
    Central Connecticut: for weather reference.
Pre wood stove oil yearly budget $168 a month payment plan across the year.
Now with wood stove oil yearly budget $65 a month payment across the year.
(Oil company allows you to spread it out across the year so you don't get a winter shock.)

Last year was their first year and my cousin's husband says they ran out of wood in February at some point so the last bit of Feb and all of March they were on oil.
This year they build up a bigger wood supply. (This means they're on wood that isn't fully dry year and year out. I've tactfully suggested going the 3 year plan but like most of us where we first heard it, we thought it was a pipe dream).

Take away thoughts- they love the stove. Saves about a grand in heating across the year and keeps the house warmer than they otherwise would be able to achieve or afford.

Most of you are thinking it now and I'll say it --> dry wood will have a bigger impact & use less wood.

I tried something new today on the Lopi. We were down to just a couple of nuggets of coals this morning. I put some kindling over them and opened up the top damper and then cracked the ash drawer open. It was like a turbo spooled up, air rushed from the ash drawer and over the coals, causing them to glow and ignite the kindling. We had a fire going in a minute!

Is the blue thing in the left of the picture for carrying firewood? If so, that would be a great idea and where did you get it?

I saw that Endeavor will take 18" pieces of wood. Is it a stretch for this size of log?

Yes, that's a log carrier that we bought from LL Bean about ten years ago. Its held up well and carries plenty. They probably still sell it.

Yes it will take an honest 18". I can get a 20" piece in on the diagonal if it isn't too wide a piece.

How do these Lopi stoves work if all a guy has is softwood ? White spruce, Aspen and White Birch ?
Will the Endeavor still get a 10 hour burn time ?

I finally got my endeavor installed just before Christmas and have had a fire going in it more than I haven't. I love the electric starter feature. Now my wife and kids feel they can use it also. I love it! It is in our downstairs family room and is is very warm in there but only wish I could get the heat to circulate throughout the whole house

Looks good! You will love that stove. It's the easiest stove I've ever owned. We haven't had a real cold spell so I haven't tested max run time. Three split pieces of oak at midnight will still have enough coals to start a fire in the morning. I feel like these 2020 EPA stoves don't choke the air down as much as older stoves.

If you could run a fan driven duct from the floor of the upstairs down to the woodstove area. ( Close to the woodstove) .
It would draw the heat upstairs and circulate it to where the duct starts. A 6" in duct fan will circulate a lot of heat.
It won't work really Fast. But in an hour's time it can make a 10 to 20 degree difference .
But the duct intake, or the fan needs to be at floor level. And PUSH cold floor air down to the bottom of the stove area.
