Pretty much the same here too, on the front side of the storm here. Sunday they are saying all snow now even down here. We'll see.

It's 41° outside now. 75° in the stove room.

Burning box elder and pine uglies.

    Currently 4 ° F above ambient.
Breeze @ 10 to 20 depending upon where your standing. Snow was a little squeeky under my Crocs when I walked the pups tonight.
Let's see. 1 6" dia round of shed seasoned black Spruce. 1 2" round of ss= shed seasoned , white spruce and 1 4" round of ss Aspen in the stove on top of a nice bed of Aspen coals. Closed down for the night.
    70° f inside .
With all it's challenges, I'm very thankful that winter finally arrived!
Wish I didn't have this dumb cold. I worked today but over did it.
I'm hoping to frame walls for the arctic entry tomorrow. Hope I feel good enough to.

76 and Sauratown Mountain is on fire. It’s hot and dry
Probably still need a fire to warm up the cooler tonight.

It was in the low 20s last week. Still burning last years lp gas in my gas log fireplace. 50% left in tank. When it’s out I have my Fisher
Insert and insulation kit and 8” flex liner ready to go. Got something in mind on modifying the boot adapter to retain the damper.
Also have a few cords of split
Seasoned oak I found free stacked and covered on standby as well.
Can’t hardly wait until I’m out of gas. I plan on being energy independent this winter and from now on

Was 28 here this morning, warmed to 57 & some sun. Stuck in the shop all day when I'd much rather be outdoors. Little Elm & Ash in the boiler with a low only in the mid 40's. Snow Friday they say.

Yup. So, that's the current temp. Pretty calm tho.
Did not get to do a bit of work on the house today. Way too sick for that. Head cold.
Been burning uglies of spruce and Aspen all day . Got a few splits of bone dry but not too solid Aspen in the stove now.
Will put some hard black spruce in for over night.

Unseasonably warm here at 28 F here right now. 50% chance of snow tonight. Smells like snow outside.

Burning Doug Fir in the Jotul. 76 F in the house.

The wind is blowing like a banshee. I freaking hate wind. We don’t get a lot of wind here. I’m just not used to it, I guess.

That looks really really nice ! I'm debating on whether to have a fire view or solid steel in our next woodstove. Your Jotul leans me toward a fire view.

I love watching the fire burn. It’s like having a friend in the room with me :handshake:
