I have an Absolute Steel. It has to be one of the first ones they made. In my experience, Woodstock has EXCELLENT customer service. My stove has needed repairs twice (to be honest I’m not sure if it’s because of the stove’s construction or whether I have an overdraft or something). I’ve made improvements in my chimney and installed a direct air intake to improve my methods of burning, and I’m trying to fine tune how I burn it to prevent it from happening again in case it’s something on my end, but I don’t know. Anyway, the second time it needed repair, I was upset and to be honest I was probably a bit of a PITA, but I was upset. The owner of the company, Tom, came to my house with a box truck, brought the stove back to Woodstock, had it repaired (it looked like new and the place where the cat sits was really beefed up), and delivered it back to me, putting it right back in its place. So, that’s a really good, small, family owned company in my opinion.

Sweet! I remember talking to Tom and he told me about going to fix a stove and how he enjoyed it. I'm betting that it was your stove he was referring to.

Just out of curiosity, why has he not been bounced out of here? Nothing like starting a fire and then running off with his tail between his legs. From what I've read it's not the first time. While it might be entertaining to some extent, I would say enough is enough.

Well that was one interesting post it always amazes me when someone tries to BS people that really know what they are talking about  I have no experience with that company at all but just the way all the members who have their stoves talk about them they must make a great product. I drove over road trucks for 6 months to help out a sick friend many years ago and I was exposed to the shipping carnage at trucking depots I believe that a lot of forklift operators at freight terminals participate in demo derbys in their off time   But in reading the posts the whole thing seems to be a fecal matter post anyway   the worst part about it was now I need to go get some popcorn !!! made me hungry :D:drool: JB

There was a different thread from a different OP about the same time, maybe that's what you remembered?

Let's leave this alone. We don't need jerks like that and I think we've blown a pretty good hole in his post.
