    Just curious of anyone here is planning on going to the Mall to see the new stoves? Surely sounds like there will be some great stoves in the competition plus some others that aren't entered.

    You know I'll be there, looking forward to meeting you and the others heading out for the Challenge. I'm a bit frustrated that they won't be testing the stoves on low air settings, but I'm going to have fun and am going to try not to get too hung up on the details.

    For sure anxious to meet with you. No doubt there will be some strange things happen or at least things don't usually all go right for something like this. But we expect to meet many very nice people and see some good ideas.

    That's right Dennis, and I'm for sure going to do my best to keep a great attitude about the whole thing. I know it's gonna bug me when folks compare the emission measurements, since it won't be apples to apples, but I understand their reasons for not wanting to run the stoves on low air settings. Some very cool concepts and great people are going to be there, and I'm really excited to be a part of it.

    Yes, I'll be there! Tom from Woodstock is checking to make sure our Beta version of the new Union/Steal hybrid will fit in my Ford Expedition. He is going to bring the new stove to DC and I'm going to bring it home from there. I'm bringing along the "Roll-or-Kari" organ dollies to move the stove.

    I might have to borrow or rent a pick up if it won't squeeze into my Expedition.

    Looking forward to meeting everyone.

    I wish I could go, but with work, kids and HUNTING SEASON, that's not going to happen.......

    We stopped in at Woodstock while on vacation in New Hampshire in early August. Penny gave us a tour and I asked to see the new stove but it was out for testing. I asked them to put me on their list if they needed Beta testers.

    A couple weeks later they mentioned on their blog that they were looking for Beta testers and Dennis gave me a heads up (thanks again Dennis!)

    I was the first to respond via email to the offer for Beta testers and Lorin at Woodstock called me back within 30 minutes of sending the email and took my info and put me on the list.

    Im working on housing for that weekend and transportation into the city. If I can get a place to stay Ill be there for a few hours and if theres beer there Ill be there till they throw me out. I hope theres beer:drunk:
