With me going back to work tomorrow and it being a beautiful day in Aus I thought I’d get out to the farm I cut on and cut up the tree leoht cut down last week when we were out there. It was a lovely 64deg with a nice breeze ( does it get much better?). This tree had died a couple of years ago and the small limb wood is nice and dry but the trunk and bigger wood will still need some drying. All the bark was just falling off which is great not taking it home. I got a bit of the trailer split and stacked but will have to finish next week now. Anyway here’s some pics as I know you blokes love them

Nervous times cutting when the log is resting on granite rocks lol. No chain was damaged today!

I see the snorkel on your rig. Have you driven through deep water where it was needed?

    Nice looking rounds! :salute:

Not really so far Mike. Deepest I’ve been in this one is about top of the wheel rim. I love touring through the Victorian high country which has some pristine rivers to drive through but I’m not one to risk wrecking my vehicle as I need to get back home lol. It’s a good rig.

Judging by the size of the larvae tracks on those rounds, the adult beetles that created them must also be pretty large... Maybe about the size of a small drone o_O

Nice wood get. I've hoarded in heavy rock conditions like that before. It isn't fun and rarely did I ever come home without a rocked chain.

Yes! Very different looking area, compared to the various areas here in the states.

Yeah it’s a Ford Everest with a 3.2lt diesel and 6sp auto. It’s not std with a fair bit of ARB gear on it.
