gotta let all the saws have their play time. Not used to seeing you use a Husky. Is that the one you were gifted?
Sure is, buddy. It's light weight and had great torque. It's not as loud as the ported or muffler modded saws either. Better for night work...... The little Husky has it's place in the saw stable.
We actually have 3 Fisher stoves down here. There is a Grandpa Bear in the basement, 8" pipe, double doors, needs cleaning up, Mama bear, I think, upstairs. And the big one at the shop. I don't have a picture of it...
The woodyard was calling after I got off last night. We made a nice dent in the pile of rounds. Start Quitting time Got 2 rows, 1/3 cord, done and stacked in the trailer...
Took a few days off to go visit long time friends in Alabama. They heat with wood, so we carried a load of hickory and a couple saws... We also got'ter done in Alabama, at her son's house, a big tree had been taken down and piled up. It was a big red maple, so we added more to their hoard Put 3 rows on our truck and he has close to 2 more loads to haul. Ran out of time to cut the butt log, it was over 36". But my friend did learn how to noodle... I got a chance to show my hunny a honey locust...it was at a festival we went to, couldn't hoard it... We got back to GA Tuesday evening, so Wednesday morning, it was time to haul wood again. Delivered a load of hickory to a new customer Then started working on the trailer load again. Finished it Thursday morning and made a long haul delivery that afternoon. Had another hickory load to deliver Saturday morning On the way to drop it off, a local deer hunting camp called and wanted a trailer load...they are repeat customer. Started on it yesterday morning. Cut some smaller limb wood first, then working on some big knotty rounds... Maybe we can get it finished today...
As much as I love ported saws, I'm not ecstatic about the noise level they belch. It is what it is though. I wear earplugs every single time.
We got back to work on the woodyard, had some nice rounds to help fill up the trailer quick... We got that load finished and delivered to the deer camp Finally cooled off enough for us to enjoy a small fire in the stove. We had another call from an old friend, she gave us part of an oak tree several years ago. She wanted some wood, I sent her pictures of our truck and trailer loads, her brother saw the loads, told her to cancel her truckload, he's going to split a trailer load with her... Time to
Had a good morning, started off about 50°, nice for cutting wood. This little feller was lucky, 1 if the smallest lizards I've seen. It got a small boo-boo, hope it heals up... Had 2 knotty rounds left, had to noodle 1 round completely, split the other. Trying out an 8 pin sprocket on the MS461...seems to pull it good... Had some smaller oak and pecan limbs to process, got it all done Had this 1 piece left, when I split it, it was full of fire ants in the crack. I gave them a hi octane drink, noodle it in the morning... Miz Carol got the splits stacked, she had enough to start on the 3rd row...maybe we can be done by the end of the week.
We needed some more wood to finish up the trailer load. Found some big rounds from the tree service drop off. They were 35" and 37" long, made 4-18" rounds... Used the MS461, 8 pin sprocket, 28" bar to slice and dice. The Kubota came in handy for setting a half on the splitter We got her rack stacked with oak and hickory then dumped the rest at 2 firepits We then got an order for 1/3 cord load. 1 big round split on the truck. About 1/2 of another finished the 2nd row. We added enough 1yr hickory to fill the truck. This customer also wants a trailer load soon. And 3 more orders for pick-up loads have come in...Thank GOD for HIS many blessings.
Tis the season. Gotta keep on Good work my friend! I delivered a half cord yesterday. Bundle order and half cord today.
Thanks buddy. We have been really busy since August, sent out a text to our customers, reminding them we were starting to cut and deliver. And we have added a few new customers as well. I think we have 2 cords to do now... Glad to see you are busy too. Keep up the great work...

Got this bucked and split Tues night Finished the pile on the left and did the pile on the right, Tuesday. We bucked and split the big log on the far right side Wed night Packed clothes Thursday night, went to Knoxville TN, got to watch the GA BullDawgs play Saturday. Lots of pretty colors down here now... The stadium sits right next to the Tennessee River. View from the top Time to get back to work. We got 3 loads delivered Monday... Got a call from a new customer Monday, neighbor of a regular customer, needing a load. Got that done Tues morning Got my coworker a load of firepit wood Tuesday afternoon. Finally got the hemlock And the magnolia split and gone...
