I don't want to, believe me. But at times it's all too easy to lose your temper without thinking, and that's a demon of its own. I don't know what can be done for him at this point, he's supposed to be on oxygen and he's smoking like a tilt, he had home care but refused it after a short time. Putting myself in his shoes, I'd want to be home. Realistically, he probably should be in a hospital whether he wants to be or not, not that it'd help his health but he could potentially be a danger at home. But that's out of my hands, Sorry to hear about your dad. ... thank you... I'm very sorry to hear that......yes, it has to be horrible for him, same as with my remaining grandmother I honestly believe he's better off gone now. Doctors gave him a couple months to live a month ago....doctors aren't always right, so we'll see.
On a more positive note, I planned to get a skirt around the garage today. Well, those things never go according to schedule. I got at least 90% of the J trim done, the last small bit and the cladding will have to be another day. Only had about 5 hours and I had to tear off some temporary material, then cut and install some wooden structures to attach the skirt to, so not bad. J trim seems to take forever anyway, have to make sure it's straight (as realistically possible), cut right, and go around all your edges and it looks like you hardly got anything done because it's only the edges. Once you get to the siding itself, cut, snap, cut, snap and you're seeing the wall fill in more and more every minute or 2. One advantage of vinyl, cut it to length and it snaps into place, once you get the starter strip level no more worry about that. Wood clapboard, or alternatives like fiber cement, gotta make sure you hold every piece at the right lap spacing and make sure it stays there till its attached. Not super easy, especially with long pieces and/or heavier materials.
Started the day picking up my Dodge Challenger from a buddy who graciously installed the interior. Now I just need to plate it and have exhaust installed. just a little but of cutting of larger deadfall branches, to feed into the boiler. my neighbor and his wife went to dinner with us. They generally go for a Sunday lunch or early dinner. After thirty years of living on the same road, it was the first time. He and I cut wood together sometime. spent yesterday helping with our Lions club, drive-up chicken and noodles dinner. We are a rural township with no Highway coming through, so it is pretty popular for the locals, to “dine-out” without driving to town.
Now that stinks. I have messed mine up before just putting on my boots on in the morning. Use to take a few days to get better and now its weeks. Hope you heal up fast.
Can't like this. I been fightin the back out thing for the past 2 years. Lower back muscles. I do stretching and exercises recommended by physical therapist friend. Helps a lot, but I still feel it from time to time.
Cents we are talking about pain.. I messed up my Knee about 6 weeks or so ago and I no how I did that. I picked someone up off the floor that couldnt help me. Not much fun trying to sleep and work in pain but. Not sure what I did to the darn thing and I dont think its going to go away.. May go see a Dr after I finish the job Im working on. Im 61 and been lucky up to now.
I'm only 40. Scared of what 61 is going to feel like. Too many bad decisions in my youth are going to haunt me. That and seeing my dad with dimentia has me real worried.
Its almost 11 now and Im glad of that. Go to bed to early Id be up at 3am.. I forget sometimes about the time difference depending where someone lives..
I became fast friends with my husband's grandmother, RIP Jean, she was almost 45 years older than me and knew and understood so many phases our marriage went through but the most profound for me (and she of course supported me) was the "Labor of Love" one that came up alot. Amen Mark.
Some of us start way too early whether we want to or not. Cripes, I've been awake since 1:30. Same yesterday, then I felt terrible all day.
That is not good to hear and I wish you luck. Heat helps me the most. Now stop heavy work for a while. Go hunting.
