    It was a phenomenally beautiful morning here. 30 degrees, no wind, silent.... I watched the sun rise in a cloudless sky. And, I harvested my first deer using a crossbow. I am thankful for everything.

    Agree! In my area the DEC gives out deer management permits (aka Doe permits) like candy. I had 4, after today have 3. Being a lifetime license holder, they cost me nothing. Additionally we can harvest a buck during bow season and another buck during gun season. I have no problem taking does. They do not go to waste.

    Just about 1/2 hour ago I took tractor in back for some wood. As I finished. looked up and a deer was watching me... You would have thought it could lend me a hand...
