12 feet of snow predicted in two days?

So.......... this is supposed to begin today, right?

Wonder if there is a webcam in that area?

 

It's on top of a glacier at like 14,000 ft.
No chance of getting weather equipment up there and maintaining it...
I had to read through a couple stories till i found that tidbit.
But they did get 18" of rain at the bottom.
So it's assumed the 12' was possible but can never be confirmed.

 

I wonder how they confirmed the last snow "record" there then?

 

Just like this "record"...

 

Except in 1955, the last record, they didn't have nearly the weather technology that they have now. They can guesstimate better now.

I live 250 miles to the north. I think they ended up with 100” if I remember correctly.
