Got home from work today, took care of the dogs, just a little bit later I hear the dogs start barking and hear a diesel running, so I head to the living room and take a look out the window and all I see is firewood. My log order from a couple months ago was here! There was a little miscommunication, I ordered from the son and the dad does the trucking. Ordered a load of ash and maple but the dad wasn't told that so I got 60% red oak then the rest is ash/maple. He loaded 12 cord but there was some crooked and dirty logs he didn't like so he loaded an extra cord for free to make up for it, so I got 13 cord in total. $1,020 total delivered. Got lots of work to do now.
Excellent price BTW. I checked around here last week and its going for $110 a cord. YARN | You've learned well, pilgrim. You'll go far. | Jeremiah Johnson | Video clips by quotes | 3f57a207 | 紗 (getyarn.io)
I love burning red oak, I was going for the ash and maple purely for the shorter drying time but I will take it. I would but the price tag hurt so I have to work more overtime now
Ouch, I wanted to get a load earlier in the year the prices were $75-80 a cord but didn't have the funds, but even $85 a cord plus one free this will help a ton tryin to get ahead some...
Log loads are usually around $700 for 7 cords here. Thats a great price! I hate oak tonight. Fighting some 3yr stuff right now and i wanna go to bed.
$75-80 a cord? Around here it is $75-80 per face cord cut and split of course. Buying logs is way less money, but a lot of cash at one time.
That's a whole year of CSS for me! Not sure how my wife would feel about getting a load of logs dropped in the front yard... Congrats on the freebie!
Yep, that's a nice load! I bought a 20 cord load in the spring that was similar. Man is it nice working those logs outta that pile! That price is real decent, at least for around here.
Judging by the size of that load you should be done splitting by noon-time. Looks like a nice load for sure!
