Took the daylight off. Had nighttime pistol qualifying. Always fun.

I have a big ash tree n a slope behind the house. A decent branch (6 inch in places) fell off a while back. I used my little electric saw and cut it into lengths to throw into the boiler. I think that thing will give me two days worth of heat. I enjoy when needed cleanup can be put to use.

The lake was very calm this morning. When I finally got outside, I saw why. It looked like it was skimmed over with a sheet of ice.

Nope, just a bed of slush I guess. Before I had a chance to get down there with a camera, it had all dissipated. But, it
    s trying!

Ended up putting the plow on and when I backed the truck out of the garage, the passenger's mirror decided it would stay in the garage.

Well, the replacement for it is just under $100, so it could have been worse!

As for mirrors that’s why wife has the wide bay in garage. 2 mirrors in 6 months. The comment of you could learn to back up received the expected:heidi:

Not yet. I'm sitting here thinking of a way to park the truck next to her car and when she backs up, I'll bang the side of her car with my hand and yell out "Oh no, Look at what happened!" :rofl: :rofl:

Naw, couldn't do that! I'll tell her when she gets back.

Belated Birthday Greeting brenndatomu I know you said it was like any other day, but it really isn't. If you haven't yet, do something to remember it by.
yooperdave , did you get "lake effect" snow? I lived near the Thousand Island area, Lake Ontario. We used to get dumped on. Could get a foot in a hour. Just crazy. When I lived in Minnesota, we would get real heavy snow. I live up on a mountain top on a Radar site. we could see Lake Superior. Deepest snow I ever experienced. Went half way up the window of our home. Was hard to dig a path to our door as I couldn't life the snow higher than my head. Anyway, you keep the snow there with you. I'll take some for Christmas Eve. but that is all.
