These people tend to have one set of rules for themselves and another set of rules for everybody else.

I find it terribly sad for both the victim and her family as well as for Baldwin. I'm not fan of him or of his stance on guns, but I still feel horrible for him. The sad reality is he's made his fortune off of having a weapon in his hand and has openly spoken out against guns, he most certainly is responsible for what happened, at the end of the day.
Exactly! It is horrible. Nobody who is responsible takes a gun from someone Without looking at it first to insure it is unloaded and clear.
That prosecutor should be charged with assault. That’s the misdemeanor charge that McCloskey’s plead guilty to. Whether the gun is loaded or not, it should not be pointed at anyone.
Oh, there would have been an outburst in the jury box if he pointed that at me!! (Of course, that might have been what he was looking to do... but i doubt that idiot is that smart)
Appreciate your response Scott and I feel exactly as you do. Seeing some revel is this misfortune is sad as well and not what I expect to see on FHC.
I'd like to note, I don't think anyone here is wishing anyone dead or hurt. I believe what the overall view here is carelessness can happen to anyone. With a little training and some experience with a firearm, he would have known better. All the man did for years and years is throw stones at the NRA, the civilized, law abiding public for owning guns, and the name calling that went along with it, (from his mouth), That's what I see.
Guys I hope you understand that there are mixed emotions here at FHC about this post being up. It's not "political" yet, but it's got the potential to spin down that wormhole. I personally don't believe "celebrating" or "reveling" Alec's misfortune will do any good for our site, nor will it be something we can all agree/disagree about. Please keep on mind there are many people from different backgrounds that have vastly different opinions about this subject, and we are trying to keep everyone at peace. If this thread gets any sketchier, it's gonna get locked.
Sadly, this is largely why our world is in the situation we are in at this very moment. And it isn't going to change on the path we are heading down either.
