Helped the BIL ‘trim’ up 2 huge silver maples in his front yard. He doesn’t burn wood anymore so I took the big stuff and we piled all the ‘brush’ on the curb so the city can chip it this week. Two 18’ trailers pretty much full. He was up in the bucket and me and his son were on the ground. Felt good to run the saw again. Hopefully get it bucked up and stacked and under some tin before the snow flies. It will keep us warm next year this time of year.

Hmmm.. let's see, 18'X6'X3' = 324 cubic feet X 2 trailers is 648 divided by 128 = 5 cords. If that's what you call "trimming" I'd say you fellas put in a pretty good day on some really big trees. Unless those trailer sides are only 2' tall, then you were slacking a little. :DThat's a good haul of some real decent shoulder wood there!

Thanks, they're rough cut pine 2x12's off a mill from a man just down the road. Treated was/is crazy priced and I'm a cheap azz so I got these and gave them the ol' burnt motor oil and diesel fuel treatment. They're holding up alright so far.
