You described yesterday Gasifier nephew and friend came to split 2 cord moved a third close to house. Cleaned garage and barn for winter did last mowing of yard, I hope fed 5 under 22 years of age and then bonfire and for those of age. A good night today clean up house get kids where they needed to be
I even managed to grind down an axe that sorely needed it! It was an abused single bit from FIL's (deceased 3 decades). He was probably the last one to put an edge on it.
My wife dressed up the little guy(11mo.) as a lumber Jack for Halloween. I naturally thought that was a great idea. I helped make his axe.

Something woke me up. Maybe thunder and lightning, maybe a short downpour, still raining . I thought there was a cricket in the room, but it's march peepers outside. They don't keep at it like they do in the Spring, but one will start and then all of a sudden there is a chorus of them for a minute or two. 62ºF right now outside and it's supposed to get up to 65ºF or so tomorrow.

One of those boats can haul a lot of ore and it is not a light load either! Lake sure looks calm and some nice sunshine too. From now on we don't get to see a lot of sun until late winter or spring.
Caffeine! It is time to cook the bacon for Sunday morning breakfast. Then put some biscuits in the oven and slowly cook the eggs. A slice of cheese taken off a block of sharp cheddar added and we will be eating some nice saniches!
Well it’s crappy weather out there for moving firewood right now. Rain off and on. But. It’s nice for certain tractor work that needs it. Git-r-done!

Kinda hard to tell from rain and driving on it with the tractor but it’s a lot better now. I’ll back drag and smooth it out a little, drive on it to pack it down, and it will be good to go.
