Got some insomnia going on. Haven't slept more than 1 hour continuously since Saturday night....getting 2-3 hours tops a night. REALLY feeling it this AM. This happens every once in a while, but never 4 nights in a row. Schedule finally opened up for some deer hunting and the weather turned to crap...oh well.
Happy birthday Eric Schamell !!! Nice work on the deer Backwoods Savage ! Interesting regarding your friends deer and the piebald traits. I've never seen one myself, or any that have those traits, but every once in a while you see pictures of reports of piebald or albino deer.
Some pepper, some something else that I don't remember the name but they said it would be a little sweet but the bulk are just hunter sticks which I really like.
We had a beautiful piebald hung around about a mile from us several years ago so I suspect there are still some genes around. also quire some time ago there was an albino but that was about 5 miles from us and I did not get to see it.
True I did not get one last year. We were baffled because I hit him hard but he did not fall. Saw him 2 weeks later and it was very clear where he was hit but he appeared to be okay. We're quite sure someone got him later across the creek. He looked like a brother to the one O gor a year ago.
I've made the statement years ago about whitetails. "Their will to survive is phenomenal, they just don't know when they're supposed to be dead". Just listen to all of the stories of even with a fatal injury, they're "still ticking"!
