Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. Couple more hrs and I will be off for 3 days...
Did get up to the woodyard yesterday morning, got some smaller limb wood cut first, then started on some big knotty rounds. 1025211822.jpg

    Good morning, folks.

Just lit a fire to chase off overnight chill.

There's a no-snow nor'easter cranking up. 3-5 inches of rain, with gusty winds. Worse at the coast. Be aware, New Englanders!

Good morning, brother. How far are you from the coast? Be careful, sounds like more firewood could be coming down...

It probably will. Just about all of the trees still have their leaves. Definitely some white pine limbs will come down. I have two massive white pines in my yard.

Due east, about 30 miles. Elevation ~500ft.

The worse of it to hit later this afternoon into tonight.

It's called a nor'easter due to the wind direction, as the low pressure system forms and comes up the coast.

Good morning everyone! Rain is pelting down, and I've got a poplar fire going. When I run out of that, I've got oak and birch in the basement. Maybe I can sneak out for more poplar if there's a break in the rain.
Inside projects today will be organizing the papers on my desk, and shredding zucchini to freeze. I put it in my husband's eggs, so he gets a few shreds of vegetable matter into him.
The freezer is pretty full already with tomato sauce. And I'm expecting to bring some frozen crappie filets back from Florida.

Fond memories of catching a bucket of crappies, calico's, pumpkin seeds, and yellow perch. It took a dozen, but frozen and used later in a fish chowder was awesome!

Awaiting snow here with baited breath.....
Till then, fire to take the chill off.
Making breakfast for my mentor who should be here shortly, and who enjoys the heat of the w.s.

    Love and blessings today,

Morning All. It is supposed to rain here all day. We are heading down island to visit family for the day. I think the big wind storm is almost over - here anyway. Good visit with Mom yesterday. Ferry ride wasn't a problem. It ran all day.

Everyone have a safe and great day today.

Good morning! 41F and the sun has returned. Looks like 2 days of good weather this week. Nothing much accomplished yesterday other than making new signage for the roadside stand and planning what I need to do to finish next year's inventory. I need to build some more storage racks and chip some brush and small limb wood. Have a God day!

    Good morning, everyone.

Sitting here listening to the wind howling. Sustained 20mph, with gusts to 50mph, if not higher. 2inches of rain, since yesterday, with another 2 possible. Upper 40's outside. Wind gusts 30miles east, at the coast, wind gusts exceed 80mph.

Power is out around the region. We haven't lost ours, so far.

Let's hope that wind eases soon Mike.

We were forecast some wind but it never got strong here. Also, overnight it warmed. Got to around 35 then started rising. 44 now and no rain forecast today.

Good morning everyone. Been staying busy.. Came in for supper and took a nap after. Im going to skip the nap next time because I was up at 3am this morning. :picard::).. Got my plywood ripped into strips and other stuff Monday and started working on faceframes yesterday. I may take a picture when I get more done. I called where I go for a sticker for my truck again but they were out of them . Should at least have a app day today or I will call someone else. One way or another I need to go into town this week. Now that things are calming down here at home it is some lonely without Barbara in my life. You work in the shop all day alone and come into the same. Very glad I have this job to do and trying my best to get more lined up.. Got to give a price on a bed today and may have a hutch bid to work on this week. Hope you all have a great and safe day.

I'd love to see some pictures. I'm starting to build my first, very simple base cabinet and would like to see how a master does it.

I have the oak face built so far. Not sure what to use for the box though.
