Quadrafire Castile randomly turning on?

    Hi friends. My Castile has been randomly turning on at all hours of the day for the last year or so. So often that I unplug it when it’s not in use. I’ve checked and it’s not on a timer. It’s not a particular time that it turns on either. It may be 2 pm - it may be 2 am.

    Any ideas?

    Thermostat issue? Not a pellet stove guy, but have friends that use them.

    Good idea. I may replace the thermostat. I have a pellet stove and two wood stoves. The pellet stove is convenient - set it and forget it. But the wood stoves never fail.

    Just try bypassing the stat for now. Disconnect at stove & put jumper across the terminals, or twist wires together behind stat itself. If stove stays off, you found the culprit. Another possibility is loose stat wires at stove, or at stat.
