I had a guy call me about a big Oak down in his yard. Ended up being a removal of three standing dead plus the Oak. Got it cut to 8' & hauled back. Probably 7 cord. 20211023_104957.jpg 20211023_104959.jpg 20211023_105119.jpg 20211023_105137.jpg 20211023_112040.jpg 20211023_112043.jpg This whole job was a pita, but it paid good & it's done. Broke my bull rope & two log chokers. 4 1/4 loads like you see in the pics. Nice family & place, just a nasty spot to work.

Yes Sir that’s the kind of big oak logs I like. Especially the ones you can use an 084AV on.

Yep, in a fence row about 50' wide. Full of raspberries, & assorted other thorny stuff. Lots of scrub too.

Thanks, I was pretty well tired out by the time we got outta there lol. I dropped the two bigger trees yesterday, then we went & cut & hauled today. Those pics in the scrub brush are three co dominate stems of the same tree. It rotted at the base & fell three different directions at different times. His buddies came & cut the tops for firewood & did a real decent job cleaning up the brush. That saved us a bunch of chipping & time. We just had to get those bigguns out. "Small" one was 28", the biggest was 38". Bunch of grunt work cutting in that mess & getting chains on em.

Not to nit pick, but that's actually an 064. That was my first big saw & I love that thing. It's been gone through once & runs like it's brand new.

Great haul there AC! Not fun when stuff breaks while working. Looks like the toys got a good work out though.

Thank you, as Dennis said above, I seem to find my way into some big trees. In a way it's nice because I'm never short on wood supply. Not many can handle stuff that big easily. On the other hand, somedays it's just not fun work.

Well shoot, didn't realize how close I was to you last week. Wife and I stayed 2 nights in Kalamazoo before taking in the weekends game @ the Big House. Stopped 1/2 way on the way, it sure is a long ride. Takes me about 8 hours to get to/fro A2.
