Only thing I have ever purchased there was something with a specific single use in mind. Don’t plan on needing it again and just to be safe get 2.

I like Harbor "Fright" for those large oddball size sockets you need that one time, like when you need to pull your CV axles. I found out that their sandpaper/disks were a monumental waste of a product. They break down instantaneously. Their tarps are okay if you're covering something outdoors in the short-term, but anything more than a few weeks outside and they get thrashed apart. Over the past year and a half, two places I've been avoiding more and more are Harbor Freight and Amazon. They recently put a Harbor Freight right in my town in an old building that Staples had vacated. I haven't been in their store yet, but did grab about 8 matching pallets from out back that were next to the dumpster :) My next door neighbor's daughter is the manager there and she was practically begging me to take them away.

....hahaha! HF. What a joke. Last time I was in HF, snot nosed
kid wants my phone # at check out. I said no thanks. He gets all
uppy and says he can't complete the sale without it. I pondered for
a couple of seconds and said.....no problem, and walked out.
I actually sent an email to HF corp. to complain. They said just talk to
the store magr. I said no thanks! I continue to say no thanks! to HF.

    555 555 5555 thats my #
they are throw away tools and not worth that half the time.
Impact sockets are good for taking on the road. I bought a vacuum gauge/fuel pressure off them and it broke after one use.
That was a waste of money, I figured it would last longer and be good enough for my use. WRONG
steering wheel puller worked well for the 1 time I used it, we'll see on the next..
Bought their Icon torque wrench that seems pretty decent time will tell on that.
TurboDiesel china freight is what I call em

I think Harbor Freight has it's place. If you are judicious in what you buy, some things are well worth the price like Predator engines or some of the generators. I have an pneumatic oil sucking device for changing oil in all my small engines that I have had for several years and it works great. I also have a HF refrigerant air dryer for my plasma cutter that has served with no issues for about 9 years. Some things are good for one use and others are not even worth bothering with. There are many YouTube reviewers that you can use to check up on an intended purchase. I like the ones where the guy looks like a bear. For the record, you are right, I will not buy anything on your list from them!

Needed a step drill for about 8 holes in some 14g Sheetmetal. One bit was good for 3 holes before burning. I wasn’t going to spend 10x the money for that project and doing with a hole saw wasn’t happening. Pure junk. I think the only other thing I’ve got there was some big jack stands for when I did the front end in my tractor. Again cheap for single use requirement but those are hard to screw up as long as the welds are solid.

I have a nail gun from them that is pretty solid. And I am very happy with my Predator generator.

I have bought a few other tools there other the years, and most (not all) lasted for the single use I had planned for them.

Last time I was in HF the guy in front of me had a cart full of hand tools.. socket sets, wrenches and such. Asked why so much. He said he had 3 adult kids that borrow tools and never return them. So he is going to hid the good tools and leave the HF ones out to be borrowed

That would be the only thing I would use them for. Not into spending money on something that I know is gonna fall apart.
