Good evening all. I have a pair of leather fireplace gloves that are worn out; they were given to me years ago as a birthday gift. I would like to buy a new good quality pair, preferably made in America. Any recommendations appreciated What sayeth the forum?
The LL Bean ones are SO over priced... AND SOOOOO much better quality than any other fireplace or welding gloves I've ever bought. I'm on some cheap Kinco ones now but will prob go back to quality next time around...
I love that idea, but every welding glove I am finding on the Snap-On web site lists country of origin as "CHN". It is proving difficult to find a product made in USA.
I like the ones that extend up the forearm a good ways. I’m sure they’re not made in USA though. My wife has gotten a couple of good burn loading the insert, so it’s worth it getting the longer ones. We only use the left handed one but of course they come as a pair. If you’d like, I could send you the right handed glove. My wife insisted on saving it, but honestly we’re not going to use it.
Yep same here. I get the long sleeved welding gloves right from a welding shop in town. Something like stick welders would use.
Welding gloves don't hold up well to firewood, so i just buy the 3pr for $10 at HF. There are things you should Never buy from HF. I'll start a thread for that...
I've had a pair of welder gloves that I've had for years. I do not use them when working with firewood. They used only when putting wood in to the stove.
