After at least a year of procrastination. I finally went out and got the Hookaroon I wanted. Looking forward to testing it out this weekend.
Handy tool i use mostly for unloading the PU. Fashioned mine from a broken Fiskars X27 handle. I had considered getting a "normal" one.
I was gifted a Council hookaroon by a Secret Santa from FHC the first year I signed up. Never had used one before. I use it more than the cant hook most of the time.
Nice tool and handy as well. I am willing to bet you will ask yourself " How did I ever get by without it " ?
I got a Council from SS also. The curve on the hook of it works great for catching and dragging brush.
Looks like a good one! You will reach a point where you will not want to handle firewood or rounds at all unless you have your pickaroon handy!
Ok. Yeah, I can’t believe I have gone this long without using one! Just makes the work so much more manageable. Wow! Everyone that has ever touched firewood should own one of these!
I've had one for a few years. Wished I had one 30yrs ago. I now have two. They extend your reach and keep your hands/gloves dry with wet, cold snowy wood.
Yes sir , the tongs are another winner when it comes to making things easier. Getting older so I need all the help I can get.
If you get tongs, make sure to get 2. I have just 1 and picked up some heavier rounds, pulled muscle in my back twice, like that.
