ok then....

 

heres the 55 with a few 1-1/4" holes at the base

 

little drum in upside down....cardboard start fire then feed it scrap wood for a few hrs

 

Got company comin to the compound,so I thew another tri tip in da pit

 

sorry no pics of smoke rings....but the sound is kinda like a big whooommmmfffff

My aunt is up from FL for a few days so we had her over for lunch today. Threw some thighs on the smoker at 8:30 this morning and we were eating tacos by noon . The pic don't do it justice but they're awesome. Nice consistent, easy recipe if anyone would like it.

 

I'm under a severe weather watch here at the compound so I'm gonna smoke some links in the bronco and prolly add some to the beans and maybe use leftovers for pizza tomorrow...my plan was for pizza today but looks like I only got a couple hrs before front hits

 

SKEETER McCLUSKEY we were supposed to get a pretty nasty front here too. It turned pitch black for about 20mins then fizzled out. Hope yours does the same
