I tied up some 6 pieces of 18” bundles and have them for sale at a nearby thrift store. Don’t have any pics of the bundles. I ordered some twine from Amazon and failed to read the details. Turns out I got 350’ of tiny craft twine, so my inaugural batch of bundles is wrapped 100x with tiny twine. Looks sloppy, but waiting to see if I get any bites before picking up life size twine.
Good luck. Add "Organic Firewood" to your firewood sales sign to rope in a few more potential buyers. Heck, if you add "Gluten Free" to your sign you may have a hard time staying ahead.
Sure, I was thinking “Chuds Private Stock” no live trees were injured while making this premium free range firewood. Ethically harvested from the most exclusive forest east of the Mississippi. This naturally seasoned firewood burns 7% hotter than imported grocery store wood.
You're correct. Cool picture but the chaos in the wood lot would send my borderline OCD into overdrive.
It’s 80deg today and I just saw a La Niña headline, so it may be a slow year for firewood sales in NC. I did sell a load to some thespian transplants from NJ. Maybe that will lead to a bunch of sales to the thespian market.
My first batch of $1 a stick bundles is gone. It’s about time. I’ve been watching the pallets of grocery store bundles empty out. 800 more sticks and I can get a 400
Missed this thread. Congrats on getting there. How many had you given them to sell? Do they get a cut? Cant wait to see the 400!
No I don’t have profit share. It was a 10 bundle experiment. I asked if I could put a sign up at the road for the next round. It’s not a high traffic road, but I’m hoping to sponge some of the Harris Teeter bundle buyers. People could have a longer hotter fire for less $ with my bundle. First batch was all oak bundles, but I’ll mix in some ash and cherry this time. Back to the 70’s next week, so the weather is not helping.
