By continuing to vote for this they deserve everything they get. Good and hard. Over and over and over again.
If I read it correctly, the sale of gas tools is banned, starting g 2024. Saws and other tools will just be brought in from other states.
My sister asks why I won’t ever visit her in San Francisco. She didn’t like it much when I told her that I’m an radical extremist that believes this country was founded on the basic principle that we’re supposed to be self governing, not a subservient population being ruled by elitists that control their constituents by edicts.
The communist state of California sucks. I live in Oregon and it's not much better. Both states are ruled by elitist peices of Sh$# who siezed power by dubious means. The ones in Oregon were certainly not elected.
Heh... even gas generators are banned.. everything is to be electrically powered. Makes perfect sense. Guess they'll all have to install solar panels and battery banks for when the rolling blackouts hit in the summer. I'd like NY for once, to not follow these unthought edicts.. but it wouldn't be a surprise to see it in our state within a few years. Make enough stuff illegal, you can find and fine criminals everywhere.
They'll probably do some sort of surrender program...$10 off your order at Starflucks with each evil engine you turn in...or some such horse poo...
I feel your pain, I live on Mt Hood, entirely too close to the Cesspool of Portland, but I Love the area that I live in, I’m not ready to move, but many are, including one of my Sisters, who is moving to Florida You are Luckier than I, you should be in the area of the “Greater Idaho Movement “ it may or may not happen, but even if it does, I am too far west to be included, it would be nice to not be ruled by Herr Furher Kate Brownshirt, or whoever her Tyrannical successor is Sieg Heil Kate Doug.
I think a lot of people are ignorant of just how many people are moving to other states. I work for the state up here in WA and we're losing a ton of people to other states. Texas is the #1 destination, but I had/have coworkers leaving to Montana, Arizona, South Carolina, Arkansas, Georgia, and Oklahoma just off the top of my head.
Inslee and Brown will be falling all over themselves to follow Newsom's footsteps. We have politicians pandering to people who like feel-good legislation, regarding things they know nothing about, with no clue about the actual consequences.
We will see what "The Woke's" stance will be in the years to come concerning small engines when the masses are trapped under debris from The Big One......, earthquake. They'll be jonesing the hear the whine and roar of gas powered tools.
I think the trouble is too many people are ignorant about battery technology. In small tools it works but as soon as you need real power and energy there is no battery substitute and likely won't be for a very long time. They believe there will be battery equivalents to all those zero turn mowers keeping the parks and mansions well manicured. I mow 1.5 acre with an 18 horse JD mower. Takes about 1.5 hours. I will not spend two days charging and mowing with a weak battery replacement. Fkit let the yard grow.
So....... the smoke jumpers/fire fighters will be laden down with the extra weight of battery powered chainsaws? Quote by Gallagher Living in California is like living in a bowl of granola; what ain't fruits or nuts, is flakes. Alaska is looking better every year.....
I read a couple different articles. None were really succinct about this. Now, if it is going to be how two stroke jet skis were banned from lake Tahoe about 10 years ago, then it's going to make it difficult for any pros, let alone those that heat with wood to continue. That is if this is including chain saws. It depends if they handle this the same as with the jet skis on Tahoe, they initially banned any carbureted 2 stroke ski, as well as ( pretty much) any carbed 2 stroke outboard. The EFI and direct fuel injection 2 strokes were legal, for a couple years but I believe now any 2stroke ski or outboard is banned. I'm talking used, not just the sale of new ones. You can't even use use any non compliant machine. Some of the articles I've seen, didn't mention any chainsaws., Just lawn mowers. Weed whackers, blowers. For clarification, I'd need to read the actual bill.
I just came back from lake Tahoe and then the San Francisco Bay area visiting relatives. I can tell you that they were pretty shocked that I had a few guns with me in my truck, on my person, etc. I told my uncle in law( sounds weird huh?) That I couldn't bring an AR15 because I didn't have a pistol version ( would've been illegal there anyways, but the point was shock and awe) because it wouldn't fit being a carbine. Ah, the conversation that brought up . Honestly, it was really nice out there, people were nice too. But taxes, cost of living, home prices, etc were stoooooooopid. We have many Californians moving to Wisconsin in recent years, especially where I live. Some emigrants to places "not California" are either going to get a huge culture shock, or this is what they are looking for.
