    Absolutely going to be a top 10 day today here in the beautiful Piedmont of NC. High of 78*, not a cloud in sight, low humidity, wonderful NW breeze. :thumbs:

    From the forecast it looks like the upcoming week will be Indian Summer ( can we still call it that?) around here, mid to upper 70s all week.

    No I can't say as I have. I always went out and hand fed them. I have however frequently chased away squirrels that were emptying the feeders/suet cages.

    All rodents eat a ton of seed, they get the heave ho around here I feed from 15 seed feeders and 12 or so suet feeders.

    I gave up on all counter weight feeders because they don't stop the small chippies. Squirrels are big problem on the cardinal ball feeders. My property is up against a 100 acre woodlot just crawling with rodents.

    You already had a frost?

    Not even close to frost down here. Most trees still green, grass growing like May.

    Anyone in the SE NH area with Unitil as their electric provider using an alternate energy supplier? read this on the IndepthNH.org site in an article by Donald Kreis:

    "Unitil just got permission to hike its default energy service rate – what the company charges for energy for residential customers not buying their electricity from a third-party, non-utility supplier – from slightly below 7.1 cents per kilowatt-hour to 17.5 cents on December 1.
    Although these are not the only charges on customer bills, a typical Unitil electric customer will see a total increase of about 60 percent. "

    There is a 3rd party supplier ( NH PUC website has a compare providers section), Ambit Energy, offering a 2 yr rate of .076/Kwh. Any one using Ambit?

    Wow - 60% increase :hair::bug:

    Sorry, I've only used Eversource so I have no experience with the alternative companies.
