    You guys laugh at the cookies (OK, those are junk AND overpriced) but I endeavor to use EVERY inch of every tree. I was thinking more along the lines of 2 or 3 for $5, maybe more for the big stuff as long as they're in nice shape. But people pay stupid money for these things in stores so why not? Especially if you aren't burning for heat. Just some food for thought.

    Wifey sells "junk" spruce rounds that I carve into pumpkins.....nothing wrong with trying to salvage something like that.

    It's true, I saw a picture of a wedding, all the table centerpieces were built on cookies and there was a "cake tree" many cakes set on, a lacquered log with cookies on the branches for the cake holders. Much better shape than the ones pictured though.

    Black locust will make nice pumpkins too! Just sayin! :whistle: With all the wood you have she wouldnt recognize just another load. ;) You do more or less the same with your chainsaws right?

    That is quite the behemoth BL. Seldom seen that big around here. What was the DBH?
