There was a Spring Bear post earlier this year and there's a 2021 Deer Season post so why not a Fall 2021 Bear Season post as well? Managed to get out for a couple days and got a decent 260-pound sow with a crossbow on Friday. Decided to treat myself this year and not process the meat at home so dropped her off at the butcher yesterday. I wish I had gotten some better pics however it was dark by the time we got her out of the woods and we had to go drag my uncle's bear out as well.
LOL. My older shepherd always slept on his back like that as well. Hauling this out was like hauling 260 pounds of jello, and this was the only way to get the bear to not roll over and tip the sled.
