I saw that the ban was for any new imports after that date, regardless of there are existing agreements. So anything arrived to be brought in after that date, it's a no go.

Best bet is other eastern block countries so I can get my cheap x39 ammo.;)

I looked into it a few times in an attempt to at least understand but perhaps I still didn't quite get it. Either way it doesn't matter because the end results are what they are after...A big F YOU to the American people...

Started the paperwork on a CZ P-09 yesterday. It will be a home defense/general range gun. I especially like the slimness of the weapon. The older 75 has a very fat grip. It will take over from the original CZ-75 I am using now. The 09 has an excellent reputation for quality, reliability and accuracy. Hope it lives up to it's reputation!

I think that's an excellent choice, CZ is well respected and known for reliability, I prefer DA/SA external hammer with a safety myself. I've only one striker fired pistol and I like it and all, but I'm probably going to trade it in for a CZ 75B or a Beretta 92.

Bit of a bummer I came really close to buying a CZ O/U shotgun last summer but opted for something else to get the features I wanted. What I bought was basically the same money, but the machining and wood fit and finish is not as good as the CZ.

Bought this today for my birthday it's tommorow IMG_20211002_134743.jpg
I'm liking the no sales tax we enjoy now IMG_20211002_152308.jpg
I prefer the g3c trigger system
But this one's not bad just different
I was hitting the plate rack after a few rounds
my 80 year old friend had to have a
    Taurus tx.22 after trying mine
And I took him to get one today IMG_20211002_131031.jpg
He can easily load and the nice triggers
On those make them very easy to shoot with.

    Thanks
    Everyone is different
But I may actually prefer the gx4 trigger after I get used to it
    No creep at all
You hit the wall and it's 6lbs very clean break.
The g3c has a lot of creep but a lighter trigger and has that restrike option for bad primers.
Both are very good compared to others I've tried.

    No restrike on the 4?

I may be in the market for a new carry gun in the next few months. Haven't gone to a store and fondled any in a while. Currently a kahr pm9 finds its way into my front pocket, in a tuckable holster. I think I want something a hair larger and bit more capacity. Have been looking at the sig 365 xl, like the small sight option. But I do like being able to shove the pm9 in my pocket and not worry about beltline discomforts......

There's tons of very small hi cap guns out there
I'm sure you'll find something that suits you.
I just went with Taurus because of the
    Positive experience I had with
    All the g2c g3 g3c and tx .22s I've shot
    Not one single issue.
The sig 365 started this craze on small hi caps
And would of course be a top contender.

Yeah, I need to go somewhere and fondle some. I have multiple pistols now, but all except the Kahr are too big for me to want to carry. If I get another one, I will probably be quite picky on how it feels in hand....

In this day and age with the literally thousands of pistols out there
    The biggest problem is deciding
    What to buy.
It's a good problem as far as pistols
We had basically colt or Springfield 1911s or
    Browning high powers and
Smith& Wesson pistols to choose from
    When I was a kid
    That's basically it
Now you can't count all the companies.

I have a TH9C for my EDC. The elitists would call me a "poor" and a bunch of other childish names. I don't make any claim it's "just as good" as anything else but it's everything I like in a pistol, and exactly what wanted, for what I put it through daily.
I know enough about mechanical ...stuff... and to my eye there is no appreciable difference on the inside of most any of the poly frame pistols, just the name on the outside.

I like those the one my neighbor has shoots great 20200615_172754.jpg
From just reading around the forums
    And YouTube stuff
It doesn't matter who makes something
    There can be teething pains
I have no personal experience with them but even the originator of these micro compacts the sig 365 had several issues they corrected and they are good to go.
I've never had a issue with any Taurus
I've owned or shot that's going back 20+ year's to the
    Pt100 .40
But honestly 1 out of a 100 could have a problem and you'd hear they are all junk.

At a Walmart when they sold pistols
    I bought a AMT hardballer .45 1911 in the early 90s
It was a Colt gold cup clone in stainless
    Nice looking gun but
It shot near 2ft low at 20 yards lol

There are lemons for sure, the only reason mine's not as accurate as I want is lack of practice, accuracy using a rest while working up the load it likes proves it.

I was convinced my 1911 junk so I threw a bunch of money at it, full length guide rod, flat wound spring, buffer, trigger work, barrel bushing, ported and polished, low profile adjustable sight, nothing helped, so it sat in the safe for many many years.

Last summer I pulled it out to have another look at it, and bought a Remsport SS barrel with a fit bushing, polished the throat a bit, dropped it in and voila a whole new gun! I was knocking soda cans around at 10yds my first test firing. I don't know what I was thinking at the time but in retrospect I did the whole process completely backwards...

Well, I had to go to the city on Monday, so decided to drive a other 20 min to a big gun store. Got to check out a few pistols. The Hellcat, 365x, 365 xl, g3c and a shield version something or another. The 365s definitely felt better to me grip wise. Hellcat wasn't bad, but the trigger didn't seem as good (I know "feeling the trigger" in the store is not necessarily a true representation). The sights on the hellcat were interesting though, and made for quick acquisition. The grip on the Taurus was bigger, and I didn't think as comfortable as the sigs. I don't remember much about the shield, it didn't really stick with me... I think if I were to purchase one of the ones I checked out, it would be the 365x with the sig sight.

    If you didn't see a gx4
I found out the magazines are just
10.00 to add a +2 mag extension and a new spring that comes with the kit from taurus
    Making them 13rnd
    If that matters to you.
