That won't heal? It's my right frontal ribcage area. I did something dumb. Loaded my trailer with firewood which was inside three tote bins, the wire frames that come with totes. I had to bend down deep to get the last half of each and the wood in there is live oak and it is heavy! Need to cut access holes in the frame! After loading the trailer, I noticed a very slight discomfort but no big deal at all. Next day, delivered that wood and stacked it. What's done is done. Problem is, this is is day 7 and it's not any better. I have not done anything, I have rested it. What's up with that! Anyone know what one can do or is time the only thing? I have never had a pulled muscle like this that won't go away. If I were to go to a doc, I have doubts as to what one could really do but I don't know, I just don't run to the doc unless I really need to, lol. Other than Advil, don't know what to do. Ever experienced this? (Age 67)

Probably not as much as your body really needs and sounds like it's a muscle you use constantly which could also be why its taking longer to heal. Just my 0.02 cents probably not even worth that much....

Was given cyclobenzaprine sp??? once for muscle knots. Worked well to relax things but be prepared to take a nap.

7 days isn't a big deal. Sometimes, especially core muscles take a bit longer to heal. Getting older doesn't help. Last one I had like that till close to 3 weeks to heal properly and be at full strength again

Flexeril, same thing, put me down for 24 hours straight ahead and felt like the worst hangover for a couple days. It was relief for massive muscle spasms but after a couple doses I couldn’t do it anymore.

Yes, flexeril is the "brand" name.... that stuff works really well. My fam doc gave me.a script to use that as a sleep aid.... and to use as needed for muscle issues. Its non-habit forming but its effectiveness does wain after about 2 weeks of constant use....

I have an ongoing script for it too...I don't take it often, but it works well...doc gave me a "half dose" prescription so that I can take it during the day without falling asleep, then I just take two at night if needed...works really well for me since my back muscles just don't wanna relax after I have an indecent. I found out this summer that they work pretty good on leg cramps too!

My question is if you tear muscle/ligament from bone and they “sew” it back on. Does that count as a bad pull? I still have script for Valium and flexoril
