Hello all, A Block away from my home, someone is renovating a house that was sold. I saw a tree/business truck today there, never seen before and out of the local town. They took down a very nice maple, a smaller cherry and a small cedar. I stopped and asked, "what are you doing with that wood", if you have to dump it, any chance I can have it"? The fella said, Sure! Where do you live? 45 minutes later I had this load in the street! I filled a bag with a six pack beer and a tip for his guys! A nice little score! Got some C/S/S,ing to do
Don't care! It'll be out of the street in a couple days. Tomorrow early I have an appointment at a gun shop, 1-1/2 hours away on a possible old antique rifle my eye has been on... When I get back I'll start the bucking up process.
Yes! I've had them about 20 years, Just for this sole purpose. I did get warned and thats what the code official said, all I needed to do. In this town you have 2 weeks for items in the street and there MUST be progress. It'll be gone in a couple days. Been there done that Mike, you've seen the past pics of the loads here!

It usually does. Even if it's the next time around. Tree guys aren't usually fond of hauling loads back if they don't have to. ^^^^^ This always gets ya on their good list too. Nice score Dave, I hope tomorrow morning goes just as well!
Exactly! I always ask and sometimes they already have it promised but this one was a lucky hit. Here in Hell, trees are not easy to come by until a storm, mostly a nor-easter then I can get all the Maple I want usually, just knock on a door with a blow over. Did it for years.
I ain't movin $#!T... But I'm also not gonna get caught with my pants down either, God knows whats gonna happen in the next several months!
