Good early afternoon. Making room for a bed in the living room for Barbara today along with lots of other needed stuff. Hope to get her to sleep a night soon but we will see. No visits for the weekend.. :) I am very thankful for the help. Getting cool temps here now. Always liked the fall except for the oil part..Lol.. Hope you all are having a great day. I try to make the best of everything.

    Good afternoon all.
Good luck to Dennis and hunting and Advil fishing.
Mark, hope the bed is like a hospital bed. I had to use one once and it was a big help. We had to put it in the living room also.
Jeff, Carol does pretty good working the dump trailer.
    Have a day all.

Yes it is like a small Hospital bed. Not sure how it works untill it gets here but I think it will be a big help as things go on. She can still get around with help for now and Im glad of that..:) Thank you.

Morning all. Still morning here but just. Chores done and then grocery shopping. Watching the neighbours in the campground pull out. It didn't take them long to pack everything out and now just backing in under the 5th wheel unit. Pretty slick.

We ended up staying here longer than we thought. campinspecter was bitten by the 2 ft itis bug and we take possession of a bigger used unit on Monday. It was supposed to be today but delivery was delayed.

    Everyone have a great day.

Happy Friday! Just getting caught up today. Another beautiful sunny day. Rain comes in tomorrow pm. Going to Texas Roadhouse for my niece's 14th birthday tonight. I put another wood rack together earlier today so I can split the last of the big stuff in my wood yard and move it. Found free wood on Marketplace so gotta see about that. Church is have a fall block party for the community tomorrow so we'll have plenty to do. Have a God day!

    Been there!

The only time it happened to me was on Whitefish Bay of Lake of the Woods.

I was reaching the pliers to unhook a Muskie that was a little too green yet. The fish surged and left the shank of a large treble hook from a Mepps Giant Killer imbedded in my wrist. The hook went in deep under some tendons. Luckily the fish came off, or it would have ripped things open.

After an hour boat ride back to the nearest landing, my buddy and I drove to small clinic about an hour away.

Due to Ontario medical coverage, the cost of lanocane, and a minor operation which involved pushing it through, cutting off the barbed end, and removal, came to about $30 Canadian Dollars! This was in about 1980 or 81.

I recall that there was a wall of lures in the clinic from similar common incidents :D.

Had to drive back to the launch site, load the boat and drive 35 miles home to drop the boat off, get changed and drive another 40 miles to the hospital. Spent 3 hours there before things were all better. It's all good now.

Hook part didn't hurt at all. I had cut the treble and lure off and only had 1 of the 3 trebles embedded. The freezing at the hospital WAS A WHOLE DIFFERENT proposition :bug::hair:

Good morning. It is cooling off again. The AC kicked in a few times yesterday. It tri working in the garden pulling plants, but got too hot. Today will be better for that. The leaves are pretty right now.

The bees are still active, so I will leave all my flowering plants for awhile yet.

We got up to 76 yesterday. Today looks to be the same and then rain. Looks like next week could be mostly wet with temps around 70. What happened to fall?

Good morning everyone! I got a lot done yesterday in the back yard, would like to do the same today, if I can stave off my husband's requests to go for a drive. I'll give in eventually when the fall colors are nice. Next week is going to be damp, so maybe we can go then.
My brother is not infected, thank God. He is relishing his freedom.
No fires yet, but I filled the wood ring next to the stove, so we're ready!
