My friend just had help bringing this in her house and the rail is bent. Stove was wrapped in shrink from factory. Is this part easily replaceable? I'm sure it can be bent back, I noticed the spline part near the numbers is not vertical and goes in towards the stove at the bottom. Is this normal or was that bent also...
I'm not near where she lives and I'm just going by the picture. Absolute damage.jpg

So what would be better, a nice USSC stove maybe...those will take a forklift in the side will they?
If you despise the USA and her products so much, I hear the border is pretty easy to cross these days...

I'll Pm you so look at your messages. I'll give you my phone number. It is easier for me to send you pictures of mine. I need to set up a work light if you want. Mine is in the garage now, I use it for a trash burner now so the lighting is not very good.

The part is just two bolts, but it is just mild steel so you can bend it back out and check with a speed square to make certain the flange is at 90 degrees to the back of the stove. That is very important.

Probably bent in shipping. It would happen in a second, on the back of that stove.

Please refrain from disparaging Our Country. We're aware of your thoughts on being born in the USA from your previous signature. There are other platforms to express those opinions, this is not one of them.

I just figured the guy was trying to be crafty in saying negative things about Woodstock. Didn’t really work though. I also figured that was a shipping/moving issue not a factory issue. I had a soapstone liner with a small corner broken from shipping (not something that messes with performance). Woodstock sent me a brand new soapstone section without charging me or asking questions. This was also after over several months since receipt of the stove but I had just opened it. He can say all the negative things he wants; it is just starting to make him look annoying and unhelpful.

I hate to tell you, but that happened in shipping. We have a Drolet Blackcomb, built by SBI, in :canada:, that had the flange on top bent, ding on the top plate, and scratched paint...I guess I NEED 6 hands for thumbs up to that great quality, using your reasoning...
I forgot, your COMMON SENSE has left the building, like Elvis...
FYI...I contacted the company in Canada, they were great to work with, gave me a discount on the stove and sent me a free can of paint. I straightened the flange, fixed the ding and scrapes, repainted and been very happy since.
Get some JESUS and be happy where you are...:salute:

I hear Cuba is a lovely place this time of year. Maybe you should spend some time there, I’m sure you’d just love it there.

I'd suggest that disparaging any country should be discouraged.

You seem to take Advantage of the things in our Country, If you don't like it here, I can suggest some WONDERFUL places for you to go! Also, don't forget some folks here have fought and DIED live in this Country. Maybe you should show some respect, but you're not old enough yet as I can see.

Your comment reflects your intelligence, or lack of. There are other places to live as others have suggested.

Definitely from shipping. When my stove returned from Woodstock the cat engagement arm was bent in towards the body of the stove. I could see a cut or abrasion to the protective plastic wrapping on the arm where something in transit hit that area of my stove and caused the damage. We bent it back into its original shape and moved along.... No real damage and my damage was not worth b!tchin' about. I think the crates built around the stoves are less protective than when I originally bought the stove in my opinion... 20210724_101033.jpg 20210724_101026.jpg 20210817_190453.jpg
