What a beautiful evening yesterday to get out and cut on some white oak tops. Also found some black cherry which has become one of my favorite firewoods.
Looks like a nice spot to work, love the dog, mine tend to photo bomb my wood cutting pics too lol. If I can ask, what sort of temps constitute fall feeling air in TN?
Low 70’s east of Tennessee this afternoon. I was stacking wood this morning in a flannel and sweating in a tshirt while cutting afternoon.
For me I guess it is just more of the air drying out some. I'm in southwest Tennessee and the humidity is rough!! We have had highs in the 70's lows in the 40-50's this past week. Makes me want to get out in the woods !!
Yes, especially for you folks this has to be some big relief. 47 here this morning and I see some 30's not far from us.
Mid 60’s here about noon today. Nice breeze too. I’d prefer it another 10F cooler. It is good enough to catch up on some splitting of stuff I cut in Jan and Feb
It was raining when I got up. Boy, did it clear off nice. Low dewpoint and a bit of a breeze. Feels good.
I'm surprised how green the corn is yet in your pic. Mostly dried down here. It looks like we're gonna have a good stretch of weather here too.
Seeing several fields of corn already picked now too. Thanks to the dry spring the crops got in early this year and I said then we might see corn being picked in September this year. Sure enough it is happening but all the rain has stopped it now. Some soy beans also been combined and. of course, white beans too although not many whites grown around here any more. Beets will be pulled soon.
