I have been banned from a couple places in my life, but usually I just keep showing up and my personality almost always gets me back in!!
Sorry all, I/we can't make it. We'd love too but Chrissy's work won't allow it and we took time to go North to New Hampshire in the middle of the month! "I know" how much you'll all miss me!
We'll bring some Apple Pies. Sugar free for all you insulin junkies like me... I'll probably commute since we're close but may spent the nights if there is room on floor for a sleeping bag with an outlet close to plug in my iron lung overnight...
Hey y'all...I scored all the galvanized siding off an old barn tonight...pretty cheap...if anybody wants metal siding/roofing for wood pile covers, let me know, I have plenty! (the ole F250 was riding a lil squatty on the way home!) I can bring it to the GTG...or for anyone else, if someone else from your area is coming to the GTG, coordinate. Its all about 2' wide and most is 10-12' long...some shorter...its kinda rusty...but will work great for wood pile covers, especially so if you wanted to give it a coat of oil base or roofing paint...there are some pieces that are real rusty on one end though, like maybe where water splashed up on it from the ground (or had manure splashed up on it? It was a working barn after all) ...cut the bottom foot or so off, the rest is still solid...oh, and almost all of it still looks pretty good on the "inside". I suppose it could still be used for cheap wood shed roof too...certainly wouldn't want to use it as roofing on anything that needs a totally water tight roof though...this is used, and there are nail holes here n there. $2 per sheet, or buck a pop for short (4-6') pieces...shoot me a PM if you are interested.
You could probably use these for that if you put the good side out...or wanted a really "rustic" look...
Bringing some homemade BBQ sauces along that I am going to be making. One is sweet and the other is a little more tangy (Eastern Carolina style).
Hmm...i know where north and south Carolina are... Seriously though, Can't wait to try those bbq sauces blacksmith !
Joe's BBQ sauces are excellent. We tested them out a few weeks back on some keyhole pit chicken... Looking good forward to seeing you all in a few days!!
