After being evacuated for forest fires (I lived in the mountains then) I learned to walk around and video everything once a year or so, SS numbers on all major appliances, kitchen, laundry, garage freezer and others for example our TV. Load it onto PC and PC backs up to external hard drive. Not a bad habit to start.
Very underrated move. I made a Gmail account when I was buying my home- I took pictures of every receipt, every transaction, quote, document- and uploaded them to the drive so I'd have everything. Not a bad idea, especially with how expensive saws are (at least they're expensive to me).
You're a good man Simon, I hope they die slowly & painfully. I have no use for a thief! I hope you get your saws back Steve.
So sorry to hear about this Steve. Those pro saws aint cheap. Do you need a big saw? Id be willing to give you my 460? I never used to lock saws when in the truck. Id keep what i could in the cab. Bought a chain and lock a few months back. I browse CL & FBM for saws but seldom go out of my area. Ill keep an eye out and hope you get them back.
I dislike your post farmer steve , that sucks. I hope you can get your saws back. Hopefully the saw community & law enforcement can help you out.
Thanks Brad. Appreciate the offer. When I talked to my saw shop guy I told him to put my name on a 261 and 462. I do have a "few" other saws to use they didn't take.
EDIT. After taking inventory they also took a 026 and an 036. The 036 had duel dawgs on it. I don't have the serial numbers on these saws.
Dang Steve. I'll watch to see if any pop up on local for sale places. Any other stuff on those 2 to positively ID them?
Possibly 4 numbers etched under the carb cover or SK, etched on the bottom. Hard to keep track of what I did to each saw.
