Had my 261 and 462 stolen from my shop today. I know there are a lot of central PA people here so I'm asking you to keep your eyes out in the area.
    261 serial # is 520927282
    462 serial # is 185458212
I have already reported them as stolen to Stihl. Thanks in advance all.

Sorry to hear that. What happened? Break-in or distraction theft?

Shop was unlocked and I wasn't home but my wife was but she didn't see anyone. AND she normally sees any vehicle that pulls in. They also took my dewalt miter saw which isn't that easy to take from where I had it. Waiting on the state police to show up.

That sucks and I’d lose my chit if someone jacked my saws. Stihl keeps record of the serial #’s and who bought them, so hopefully the scumbag gets caught with your saws.

Any pawn shops around? Might want to let them know...And obviously keep an eye on FB MP and CL...I usually don't "search" that far from home, but if I see something pop up I'll let you know for sure!

Watch CL (and maybe eBay) to see if they try to flip them straight away. Probably to buy drugs.

    Hope they get caught quickly!

Bastids. I hope you get them back

Do local Stihl power shops get notified with the models and serial numbers?

Yes they have a database of stolen serial numbers. It goes out to all dealers. My dealer has already entered for me.
