Pic doesn't show much depth, but stacked wood is 3 rows deep, and lots to be split behind splitter. I am normally finished up by this time of year, but most of this wood has been cut for a year or better and will burn real good. Most of this ash was dead, or close to it when I cut it, due to the EAB.
Another kill with the 550. These are fantastic saws, mine is pulling 3/8 Carlton full chisel. Tree is about 30 at the flare, about 22-24 where I cut it. 16" bar, just cause. Finished it up with my 372XPW. Pics don't show the length, but was a pretty decent sized tree.
Thanks fellas. Still not finished with the last tree, I am going to try and finish it up later in the week. Got the big stuff out of the way. I have more fun with the 12"> stuff, faster to work with, easier to split, and easier to load. Most of that tree was 18-20", made for some fun cutting with the 372.
I could have used that tree to test run this saw in I finished up yesterday. I was testing in 17"-18" I had out back. Owner runs 42" and 24" I ran his 24" and then put on my 16" for fun.
Saw this post and thought it was new. Reading about cutting wood then saw the snow on the ground and wanted to know where you live to have snow on the ground in july!! Then looked at the post date and saw Feb!
I have turned this thread into my random cutting/carving/whatever thread. Hope you all like my "stuff". I know I don't post here much, or on AS at all.. Just more of a reader these days.
That's pretty darn cool.... Your a talented man....... Hey, reading is cool, but throw your experience in every once in a while.
I showed this to my wife, who's from Detroit. She said that maybe if it were a Michigan "M," she'd be excited. She did like the little football at the bottom.
I-O ! Thanks bro, someone that wasn't able to snatch up my last one in time, put an order in for this one. I just got around to it, been trying to take care of other stuff, but should have a little more free time soon.
