On it now. There is oil based and alcohol based. I'm using the alcohol based, which is what everybody used when I was in various countries while serving. Fever is finally dropping.
Agreed and sorry to hear. I think we are all bound to catch it at some point in our lives vaxxed or not......
I've had several nurses go even further and recommend to sleep as vertical as possible. The last time I was in the hospital one of the nurses recommended that if I wanted OUT to stay out of bed. Sit upright in a chair. Read, walk around, whatever, just stay out of bed. I walked around toting my IV almost every square inch of Mass General. When I've had pneumonia I've slept on the LazyBoy couch. Sometimes for several nights with makeshift sheets. Not very comfy but sometimes you just do watcha gotta do.
I think you are correct. You can only be so vigilant for so long, especially against something you cannot see. I think as silly as it sounds, having a "plan" is a good idea: 1. Getting on a vitamin regimen that could help the body ward off or deal with it better seems to be a good idea. Vitamins C, D and zinc are the main ones I've seen. Quercetin, elderberry and some others show up on lists as well. Stay hydrated. 2. If you are exposed, can you actually, effectively, quarantine from your family. Some people may be OK with their family being exposed to "get it over with". If you test positive, can you isolate? Many people do not have the house size/setup/ layout to be able to do either. Also, if you don't know you had an exposure, you can be contagious for quite a while before any symptoms show. Point being if you could have an idea how you will deal with it before it happens I think you will be ahead. Having meds, electrolytes, comfort items, foods, etc stocked up and ready will payoff if the time comes.
^^^^ This. All the jabba jabba does is allow your immune system to be prepared in advance rather than needing to take the time to respond. This can make a huge difference in fighting off the virus. All the rest of the hype and hyperbole is just that.
Yes, have heard that as well. I have to say though, Monday and Tuesday I spent more time in bed than ever before. Back pain has been very consistent, and only relief was from laying down. I have only spent very small stints on my back, when I had to have a change from the sides and stomach. Add to that the very tired and run down feeling. The Dr's did say lots of rest, but get up every hour (when you're awake), walk around, breath deep, cough stuff up, move arms around etc to try to keep the junk moving. And there is definitely junk...
No. I refuse most perscriptions. I was ablsolutely crushed by a log when I was 35. Broke c6, c7, t3, chicken wing bone. Knocked all the important bits out of my left ear, and gave me a very very bad concussion. They put me on every kind of pain pill there was. I hated the stuff. Prednisone is not good for your bones, the way I understand it. I have had pneumonia several times in my life. I elect to take steam sauna baths with eucalyptus oils now. I am on zinc, vitamin d3, and advil. I also do monitor my o2 levels with a finger meter thing like wood widow said to do. My 02 was pretty low, when I got home from cutting today. After the steam sauna, I'm back up to excellent. I'm knackered however. I'm glad I saved a veritable mountain of doug fir bark for the sauna. My most favored wood for the sauna now.
I talked to the Dr today, asked about the prednisone and z pac she gave me. She said my lungs did not sound as clear as they should have, which I do not remember her saying the other day. So she gave me the rx's to try to clear it up and keep from getting worse.
Camber, my wife just went to Dr's office, and the PA told her to take tylenol instead of aleve or ibuprofen because they do something to the blood and it has been causing some clotting in folks. For what it's worth....
Huh. I'll check it out. My little sister is a nurse and runs the hospital in another town. I'll see what she tells me. I was still taking aspirin up until about three years ago. I'm sure Mrs. Camber has tylenol somewhere.
Let me know if you get different information. Seems like we keep getting different stories on everything, so don't know which way to go....
Prayers for your wife. She will have natural immunity after this that no shot can surpass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is turning into a very informative post. Thank you all for sharing your experiences. Praying for you all & your families.
So do you do any research on the subject, way less likely to get hospitalized or die if you are vaccinated, it does not keep u from getting it so precautions are still in order.
