Just landed a dozen of these to put into play with my new Kioti CK3510 .... has anyone cut 1 side out of these to make it easier to stack in? Do they stay "sturdy"?
nice tractor! trying to get my wife convinced we need one, curious what that model with the enclosed cab roughly ran you?
We've gotten about a half a dozen this year and they're really handy. I mostly use them for odd ball splits and chunks. I don't cut as big of a hole in the side as most people do. Make sure to file the edges you cut because they can be sharp!
I've got totes around here that I've used for years with one side cut out & no issues. I don't treat them real carefully either. I do like that tractor too. Good deal on the financing for sure!
Yes, I've cut the sides but not the entire side, just enough to get to the bottom of the tote easily.
I use lots of totes. They're perfect since I have a skid steer with pallet forks. Wood gets plenty of air and sunlight. As other have said, you don't need to cut out the entire side. If you want to stack neatly you can step in and out easily enough. Enjoy!
Should work fine. We have a couple I haven't fixed yet. I like the collapsible metal baskets even better. Have 2 if those, wish I could find more. They have a door built in... Folded down Ready to use Starting on the 1st one Almost full And they stack great
