I was up there yesterday with a couple of my friends that just purchased a new (to them) home, and they are interested in purchasing a Progress. They actually put a deposit down on one, but Mike gave them a estimated delivery date of November. Apparently they are waiting on parts from the foundry. I was up there in early Spring and they had a large supply of them that I saw in the warehouse.. so.. they're selling stoves.

When we got there the showroom was empty and Mike came out to greet us, but within 15 minutes there were about 5 different sets of customers in there. It was a mad house of activity. I've been there multiple times now and never seen such a gaggle of customers. :)

We went with charcoal per the wife. I would have liked the brown color they have but was over ruled!!

Bob, that is one beautiful stove. Did you do the artwork or did Woodstock?

Tis that time of the year. I'll never forget the first Open House we attended. I was amazed at how many stoves were sold that weekend! One of my favorites is this:
    141.jpg 151.jpg
The story is that my wife and I were there Friday and Saturday. Friday evening we were at the motel and my wife went out to the car for something. I was wondering why it took her so long but she came back all excited. "There is a couple out front that you have to go talk to!" she said. She was really excited.

So out I went and met Mike and Patty from Milwaukee, WI. We sat and talked (and drank Mike's beer) for quite some time and when we were through, they decided that definitely they were going to buy a Fireview. But how to get it home? Ha! A PT Cruiser can handle it! Sadly, Patty passed away a year or so later. I've not been in contact with Mike for too long now. Thanks to him for that second picture.

We sent Lorin some ideas we liked and let the folks at Woodstock run with it to develop more. After a few tweeks and option selections later we got what you see above.

Anxious to get started on the demo and install. Going to be happy sending the gas log unit down the road!!

Good news, my Oslo sold last night. Got a real deposit from a real person and he's coming Saturday to pick it up.

Emailed Mike at WS, need to finalize a side plate design and submit the artwork before I can get a date. I'm in no hurry, my main concern was selling the Jotul.

I think my wife and I are going to go with a maple leaf on the side plate.
I'm going with charcoal for the paint color but I'm going to see if the shop can create some kind of crimson red to use as the leaf color.

That would be interesting to put a maple leaf on and picture it as taken in the fall rather than summer. I'll bet they can come up with something.

Details on the IS were submitted yesterday. Lorin is going to email me back soon with whether or not they can do what I asked for. The detail on the maple leaf will be the tough part, I submitted a maple leaf with some negative space on the leaf itself, the veining. I'm not sure the water jet can do any small detail cutting, really thin lines. And lastly, I asked for a fall redish color for the leaf alone, the rest of the stove will be charcoal.

When she sends the artwork back to me I'll post it.

I'm 15 hrs away from the Oslo being sold and on it's way to Rhode Island.

After that I may just send one of the mods a message for a screen name change.
A couple of them know about it already.

Then, as I sit here, I think about Murphy. I wonder if he's lurking around and
I shouldn't post this response at all.

Well, here it goes, lets see what happens....the clock it ticking :)

Murphy's on hiatus until you get this sorted out.
I told him he had to leave you alone.
    You're welcome.:thumbs::D
