So it’s a wet start to the spring firewood season down here, I had to get trough a few bog holes just to get to the good wood.

It was a nice day for cutting, warm enough to only need a t-shirt yet not hot enough to have to chug a bottle of water every time I stopped the saw.

I got a fairly good load but I didn’t over do it as I knew I had to drag it back through those bog holes and up a slippery climb on my way home. That eucalyptus is heavy when green.

Got some Witchetty grubs as well!

I know I have told some of you before how much I love my truck.

When I got home I unloaded, split and stacked the wood in to IBC’s and added them to the collection out the back.

Will do mate, I have to go down there next week and cut some dead limbs of a tree for him before they break of and smash one of his fences, I was supposed to do it a week ago but the weather turned nasty.

I will tell him you said hello!

How have you been going Adam?

Doing well up here, thank you. Health has been good & crazy busy, getting prepped for fall firewood sales & still selling a fair bit of campfire wood. It's been a good summer other than the heat.

Looks like quite the hoarding adventure. How close was the cutting area to home? That grub is huge! Ive run into big ones but not that size. Those Aussie grubs eat well!

Hey mate, good to see you posting. It's been too long since I've heard from you.

What not to like about that truck? And if it gets you through all the mud, it has done its duty well.

More recently was a prescribed burn however back in 95 there was a bad wildfire that burned trough that forrest. The rings in the wood of the tree trunks show the scars of that fire!

A bit too wet for my liking mate. I hope it will dry out soon or I will have to get all my wood from out the farm this year. I bet the mighty Patrol was loving a good mud run!!

While I would normally think that looks like a fun time (I'm a Jeep guy), while firewood'n, I would not like to play in the muck! I ran those same tires for many many years and they always preformed awesome offroad.
