I'm giving props for that frankenstein wheelbarrow repair. I've seen that on so many crotch-rocket fairings it ain't funny.
Yes they do. I saved my neighbor about $200 to have the tree service he hired leave the logs behind for me. That's was a couple of cords of ash in a nice easy to cut from pile. Garden tractor and a trailer with a couple of saws fixed that "problem". I think that ash is a good chunk of what I'll be burning this heating season. I also responded to a local tree service that will haul logs green cutting to local homes because they are being charged to dump the wood and would rather drop it at someone's home for free to be made into firewood.
Yes it does count. Great to get an easy one now and then. Maybe we need a FHC difficulty factor in rating a score based on what you have to contend with to get it. Most of the other BL scores on my radar are like that. Ill wait until the frost kills off the overgrowth. LOCUST MANIA! Gotta love it!
Thanks! My doing! Back in June i had mine at a score where the home owner was moving the rounds for me. He dropped a big oak round in and broke it. New plastic tubs are pricey so i looked online and a guy used zip ties to "stitch" his together. I gave it a shot and worked pretty good. Used heavy duty zip ties. Thats my friends wheelbarrow pictured. His son broke it back in the Winter the same way. Zip ties worked but i had to put a piece of plywood underneath as the plastic had broke off from the bolt holes. A little FHC backyard redneck engineering! Frankenwheelbarrow!

Yep. They have to pay someone to load that, fuel to haul it, and if they take to a dump a tipping fee. Only makes sense it's cheaper to leave it.
I have a log stashed in the woods beside our parking lot at the office. It's been stashed there for 5 years now maybe. That reminds me I need to actually cut it...maybe this year? I was really behind this year and have been trying to catch up, cutting more than I have recently .
Dunno how much there is. One big log still on top and in my way. There was a smaller cherry log too with fungi all over it i flipped out of the way. I do have two intact white oaks at my score from May to be cut up yet and a PU full of red oak waiting at another score from the Spring. So i do have some oak to love! Sorry to hurt your feelings there Jeff!
Braided fishing line works really good for stitching plastic. I used it on a wheelbarrow and on an ice fishing scoop. You can go through the holes over and over making it super strong. UV rays won't break it down like plastic zip ties or monofilament line.
Thanks for the tip. I used the extreme weather ZT with UV protection so we'll see how it holds up. Im pretty mind full to not drop heavy rounds in it when using for such purpose. Cant say that for the folks who broke these though!
Good deal Brad. I'm cheap so I used what I had and it worked for me. Also, I knew I would be chucking uglies in the wheel barrow from distance so I beefed it up to handle the abuse.
As promised. Stopped and picked up my sticks on the way home. Ain’t much but I’ll toss it in the pile.
