Good morning Folks! Hope everyone enjoys the day. Ribs turned out great. Got the BL split and stacked a couple weekends ago.
Today I want to clear out a few dead red elm at the edge of the yard. Barks off so I will take what needs to be split to the silver maple pile.
Township is coming around with the chipper so need to get small stuff up front. Cooler temps getting me chomping at the bit.
Burning daylight so I better get moving. Take care everyone!

Good morning y'all. Happy Labor Day...
Made it to Hilton Head about 3:30 PM yesterday. Lazy evening, went to the Piggly Wiggly grocery store, got bread, cheese and meats to make a few sandwiches while we are here, not eating out every meal. Probably gonna take a mini boat tour today (creek cat) and maybe check out a few shops.
GOD LOVES YOU AND ME.

 

Morning All. Waiting for campinspecter to light the boiler before we go for our walk. Overcast with the threat of rain. Blue Jays won yesterday and I spent the rest of the day in the sewing room. I really have to get to the bookkeeping today although there is another Blue Jays game this morning.

Tomorrow will be an adventure. I have been asked to fill in at my previous worksite for the day. Our first day of school will be just teachers and support staff. It will be a busy day even without students.

I'll be making it again. Maybe with some local corn kernels mixed in.

Good afternoon everybody. Well Holly managed to tree a ground hog yesterday. Chaz had to get his gun to knock it out. To many low branches for her to try and jump and pull it out of the tree. This makes her 3rd one this year. Holly weigh 65#.



About 15 minutes later. TurboDiesel and his wife stopped by for a visit. Hung out in the barn while a rain storm came by. Good to see them.

Good afternoon! Finally checking in for the day. Another beautiful late summer day. Trimmed around raised beds, picked up general mess where I've been splitting to get it ready to mow, built another rack for shorts and uglies, turned compost piles, turned grass clippings to add to compost and mowed the back yard all before noon. Had to eat and take a nap. Have a God day!

Good morning everyone! We spent yesterday driving around, so I'll happily stay close to home today. Western MA is beautiful!
That's the Connecticut River. The valley used to have lots of tobacco farms. There are still some, but most have switched to vegetables. We passed a parsnip farm. I took the picture from Sugarloaf mountain. You can drive up it.
