They strike a hard line at 50. Doesn't matter of you've had shingles or not under 50. They simply won't do it.

When I had shingles on my face last year, it was the worst pain ever. I literally couldn't do anything once it really got to hurting.

Wouldn’t that be nice. Our human technologies have created so much benefit, just in the medical field alone. To speak of one area. But unfortunately, some negative side effects as well.

Got some window trim on the garage. I need another 4 1x3 to finish that. And soffit finished on the back gable end. Now I just need to do soffit on the sides, and that'll be a breeze. Much easier to install nailing strips due to the design of the structure, and don't have to go so high on the ladder.

Why do people not actually read and respond to questions on what they have for sale on FBM? In the last two weeks I have actually asked question (size, or operating fitness) and both times they have responded with answers that had nothing to do with my quesiton:

Guy was selling chain link gates. I asked what size (width) they were as I wanted to make sure they would fit in my SUV (Anything under 4' wide will). He responded by saying "yes it is available, call for an appointment". Well, you are 1.5 hours from me, so I decline.

Last night I contacted someone on a trailer - Did the lights work? I expected them to say yes, the lights work since they indicated it was in very good condition. Answer, "yes it is still available". Seriously?

That conversation took place 3 weeks ago when I set up the service.

    "No big no deal"

Basic communication skills and lack there of.

However, in the case of the second example.....the one about the traier lights.... It just may be lack of using punctuation marks.

Do trailer lights work? "Yes...........it is still available or yes; it is still available.

Whatever the reason, I stay away from ads that lack basic/correct spelling or word usage. :handshake:

Yeah, you find so many who apparently know nothing. I asked a question which was very simple. Ad said was in a village. I asked where in the village. The answer I received was the name of the village. Okay... Or how about people selling shoes, boots or clothing. Would it be tooo much to post sizes? But 2 things really get me: People apparently picking up junk the trying to sell it close to regular price and the second is the prices. It would seem if you want to get rid of what you are selling you would offer decent prices rather than new prices.

Just lazy...both of the responses you mention are in the list of "quick reply" when you are selling stuff on FBMP.
But I'm with you...drives me nuts when people post ads with crappy pics and little to no relevant info, and then won't answer your questions...I will usually ask the question and if they reply quickly with good info, I will continue the convo, but if not I often just drop it...but on a few occasions it was something I really wanted, or the price was really right and their poor response just pushed my buttons, so a couple of times I just filled up their inbox with questions, until they either got back with me, or took the ad down.
I always said you can tell alot about people after talking to them on the phone for a few minutes (like when buying/selling with CL ads) but now that it seems like most people want to buy/sell stuff through texts/emails on FBMP, I find you can actually kinda tell who you are dealing with after a bit there too...obviously if someone wants to be a scammer, they could say all the right stuff and trick you, but I have never personally run into that...most of the time when I'm dealing with an idiot, they act like an idiot and I just drop the convo....good luck selling your stuff there FBMP idiot! :hair:
And I have been on both sides of this (buying, and selling) and I get why some people post things like "I will not reply to "is this still available" because I have gotten that so many times and when you reply yes, no response. I told my wife I think people must accidentally hit the "quick reply" when they are scrolling on their phones...

A shorter work day today got me home for a light dinner, a very short bout of depressing National news, and then an upbeat time out on my new to me old 1979 John Deere 300B backhoe. F0D603F5-877C-4E98-9E82-75A8C3A30086.jpeg I tried moving some full bucket loads of clay but the front tires didn’t have enough air in them. So back to the barn I went. Got the compressor going and finally replaced a couple of fittings on the hose and then filled up the tires. Back out to clay pile and moved a few buckets into nearby low spots and practiced some back dragging with the old work horse. It’s going to take some getting use to but can move a nice big amount of dirt compared to the Kubota. I would guess it is well more than twice the capacity. Be nice when I can spend a whole day getting some time on the 300B. I have the next day off and it’s going to rain.
