not sure. I have told her to ask about it. She is too young to automatically qualify for it.

I got out to the county fair today with the family. What an absolutely wonderful time. My dad and I submitted some items to be judged and we both got blue ribbons. I submitted an old book to the antiques and my dad submitted some woodworking. My dad got the best of woodworking. We had some smoked pulled pork on the way out and we all took naps the moment we got home.
Had a nice cigar on the porch and now I can close the cover on a great summer. Fall, here we come.

Exhausted everyday by this time of night. This mileage of walking and running with my son is tiring me out to say the least.

Worked a little overtime this weekend because some people are out with COVID-19 and quarantined.

Had my brother-in-law and his wife down for dinner tonight. My wife made homemade chicken and biscuits, you know with the veggies and gravy. And then we had raspberry&blueberry crisp with cool whip. :faint:Lord, help m…..:fart::sleeping:

Supposedly the shingrix vaccine does prevent occurrences. You just can't get the vaccine until you are 50. So I have to wait.

You have to be 50 to get the shots, regardless of whether you've had shingles or not.

There's obviously some reason for the 50 yr age minimum

I had one of the acid blue labels, the smaller 6 inch ones. I guess they aren't exactly 'nice' cigars but they are fine for me. It seems every spring I get a tin of 10 and I have to really work to get through them by the end of summer.

Went to a lumberjack festival but camera got goofy so did not get many pictures and even then some did not turn out. Guess it is time for a new camera. But had a good time.

Recovery Volunteers - is that GSDR? I am constantly sharing their lost pet flyers on FB. they do a huge amount of work and everyone is just that - a volunteer. Absolutely no one makes money off that non-profit.

My understanding is that the Shingrix shot can be used even after having shingles.

Yes, GSDR, the foxhound from Raymond NH. Apparently it was seen a few days ago at my neighbors. The dog has been seen a few times in our area. I set a game cam out yesterday to see if it passes through on the deer trails. We are hoping it makes it back to the owners.

My doc suggested it when I was 58.5 YO and I had both shots before I was 59.My insurance didn't blink an eye at it. The CDC suggests anyone 50 or over (which I didn't know until I just looked it up)

Also, I would think that anyone who has suffered at least one shingles attack would automatically qualify them for it, but then again that is common sense. Oh, and I see the FDA has only approved it for those over 50 - well that makes sens becuase the vaccine has only been in use for 11 years for those over 60 and 10 years for those 50+. Hmmm, wouldn't want to rush approvals for those <50 who have already suffered from it :zip: :headbang: :zip:

Caffeine going in. Almost time for my walk/run. Son doesn’t appear to be getting out of bed so I’ll go by myself. Again. Teenagers.

Then it’s back home to get cleaned up and off to work I go. All you good folks have a great Holiday, have some kind of fun today, and stay safe.

Switched garbage service and today is supposed to be the first day of pickup from them. Only thing is, they said there is no set schedule! They said that one driver's schedule will be different than another driver. And.....that they have the option to change the route. So, no telling when they are going to pick it up.............:picard:

Well, I wheeled up the can to the road in the dark as I want to be sure its collected today.

I felt like telling them that sometimes I pay my bills on time, sometimes I don't..........there's no telling just when!

They probably have to cater to their drivers to keep them like most other businesses. One of those "New" generation things. Used to be that job paid 150 bucks a week and all you could eat...................... :rofl: :rofl:
